And Mesk still complains on Starcraft II's horrible terrain designs... This will be a game destined towards failure, I assure you that! And if it gains higher scores will be because of the miracle of bribing!!!

They remind me of this CG movie I saw that was more of a tech demo in the early 90's. The water and non-paved ground textures are really killing it.

Either the scale is entirely different from the first game, or the palm trees are a thousand feet tall

Re: Supreme Commander 2.
Wow! It looks... exactly like the original. Fail.
Supcom 2 is a game that even supcom fans aren't looking forward to because it's dramatically dumbing down the game and reducing the overall scale - the one thing Supcom had in its favor. There is nothing in these screenshots that even comes out as remotely new or interesting to me. The shields actually look worse.
I see the terrain remains exceptionally poor as well.

I like how in that third screenshot, the island, in the background on the left, really realistically captures Quiltland, Valley of the Grandmas.

Re: Supreme Commander 2.
Nonsense! Look at that perfect-to-scale shadowing reflection of the islands to the water! There is no difference in quality from seeing it 100 feet away to thousands!

I have seen the Desler. I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Re: Supreme Commander 2.
The original was purely heightmaps, this is like heightmaps with "cliffs" glued on.
I'm expecting it to not even be worth playing around with after the announcement of being consolized seeing how SupCom/FA could bring a high-end comp to its knees better than crysis could.

Re: Supreme Commander 2.
Just because it makes a high-end computer cry doesn't mean it's displaying anything worthwhile. =oP I'd call wasteful, shoddy programming first.
