I will never buy anything made by Activision or EA, they don't deserve a penny.
Why activision? Well, Activision is doing the same thing to CoD as EA is doing to C&C

Activision isn't the best company but I wouldn't lay the blame completely on them. They're mostly a hands-off publisher, especially with studios that develop well-selling games, and Infinity Ward has done that by peddling to the 20 million console gamers that will happily lap up DLCs at rigged prices instead of the 2 million or so PC gamers that will scrutinize every flaw and likely bootleg addons.

I wasn't aware CnC was supposed to be taken seriously after TDawn/Sun.
I've always enjoyed the Conquer games for their unadulterated campiness. Their shameless storylines and relatively fast-paced gaming. They aren't groundbreaking, but they don't try to be. They're just fun. AND FUN DESERVES RESPECT.

Hey, I ain't hatin' on the fun but I think Starcraft and other RTS games did it better with more custom maps, mods, campaigns, and all that good stuff. I think if they let other people monkey with their game like Valve and Blizzard did, they'd get more love from gamers than as just "that RTS you play if you get really bored and keep losing in Blizzard melee".

I find no fun in games that destroy any sense of accomplishment or gameplay depth with garbage like hard counters and utterly horrible map design.

All that really demonstrates is how much Blizzard games have moved away from modding and become focused on mapping. Which is pretty unfortunate that EA games, despite their terribleness, are more inviting for modders than games like wc3. The exception of course is diablo 2 which is still a pretty actively modded game.

Isn't that the same map editor that eats 2gigabytes of ram on startup without no maps open? Because I remember trying to use it and it was absolutely horrible.

Oh, god, is that editor terrible. I don't know how many gigs/megs/other units of memory it eats up, but the interface was effing terrible and it was almost impossible to program triggers (everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, needed at least two waypoints, and you had a waypoint limit).IskatuMesk wrote: Isn't that the same map editor that eats 2gigabytes of ram on startup without no maps open?
