$20... thousand? O_o Where did you even get that much money? That's not "quite a few," that's "officer, when the angry haze lifted she was dead," territory.Lavarinth wrote: Unfortunately I'm not made of money and I already work full time. I have finally recently cleared out my debts. See, I was a very generous guy, and I lost quite a few thousand dollars (20) on women whom I thought were innocent. Little did I know they were simply incompetent. No one has really ever heard the whole story of my love interests, and I know I could write a book on it, so I won’t unless asked.

You'd be amazed how some people earn money. I myself play poker on the side for extra cash here and there. My friend made $20,000 this summer over 2 months of playing a few hours each day.mAc Chaos wrote:$20... thousand? O_o Where did you even get that much money? Of course if you also work a lot and have little expenditure you can make a lot. However my guess is that he means over the years he feels he has spent that much on them without any return?

I've met only a few forumgoers in real life: Zilla-, who visited me at college four years ago, and mAc, whom I visited at his home this past summer. I still want to do EMUFEST '06, one of these days. But me, Zilla-, and Bill (Mr.) are all too hilariously lazy.

Had and have. I wasn't going to let two girls ruin my credit. They are paid off, but it only took years to do that for one, and a court case for the other.Rocco wrote:Have or had?Lavarinth wrote:Credit cards. Re: Life - Where you at?
A court case? Gee, that is serious. Personally, I think it's never a wise decision to share your personal belongings (eg. money) with a love interest, simply because love is not unconditional and money can get spent. Love or whatever it's called these days, for the most part, is a selfish process -- you want that person to be with you/want you/be unable to live without you for YOU. It's not because of some divine interest or whatever. Anyway, when it comes to money, you've got to protect yourself. Sure, it may be 'just money', but it's all you'll ever really own in this life and it provides that little security you need to get by.Lavarinth wrote:Had and have. I'm not under the impression I'm telling you stuff you people don't already know, but for the love of God, how can you lose so much money to a girl? Did you buy her a car? A condo? Car and condo? Car and condo and aerobics classes?

Re: Life - Where you at?
I'm afraid I have to disagree with you there. Seems to me like you had a bad string of relationships but I know that I'd gladly die for the girl I love. I'd rather not go into that clusterfuck as it is some crazy shit that's been evolving over the past 4 years or so, but I do love her unconditionally. Love's a bitch, and all bitches is bitches, and most bitches are bitches but some bitches are worth it. To me money doesn't really matter. You need it to get by but that's it. Everything in contemporary society has a cost, be it time, money or whathaveyou. I appreciate her for who she is, faults and everything, and if to me it's worth it to buy her a diamond ring to see her happy then I'm going to go ahead and buy it. In terms of money I've easily spent at least $2000 on this girl and I think nothing of it, sure I regret when something doesn't work out the way I planned (like that fucking surprise that was ruined because she had made plans with her friends, word of advice if you are planning a surprise that will take up time be sure that she knows that you're doing something at that given time. Unless she is a friendless loser or something) Take what you want and pay for it. That's just my 2 cents.Legion wrote:A court case? Gee, that is serious.
