What are the chances we can have a big CC shindig and have just a little get together. You'd think after 11 years, itd be about fucking time. Maybe coincide with SC2 release date? Whos interested?

All you have to do is attend Blizzcon and PM Lav, I think he usually arranges something.

I've seen pictures of some of the guys having a great time together and I think that's so cool. I'm from Europe and I think most of you are USA. It'd be a bitch to arrange for sure.

I've never considered attending Blizzcon 'cause I'm generally uninterested.

Milldawg, mr. and I have been trying to throw EMUFEST 06 for the past few years but it never seems to work out. Tipereth lives like 45 minutes away from me but he's a jew, a CC get-together would be awesome but in practicality it most likely won't ever happen, i'm down though.

That's the whole point of Blizz con though, you basically kill two birds with one stones.  While you're there attending a major event, you also see familiar people, and since its someplace they are likely to be as well, best place possible for a get together.  No offense, but I wouldn't travel more than 100 miles JUST for a get together.  With Blizzcon though, you're there for something you like anyway, so the get together is easier to plan.

I think the whole problem with the get together is most people aren't willing to travel just to see people on the Internet.  That's why having it at Blizzcon makes sense.  And as I understand it, a good number of CCers hooked up this year over there.

I am Lavarinth, and I'm a user.

Of what? Persuasion, good sir, persuasion. You see, being born on November 21st leads me to be the last of my kind: The Scorpio, and although I've never mentioned it much, I'm quite into astrology. They share common traits: Persuasion expert, vindictive personas, vengeful thoughts, mysterious personalities, and the ability to lie like none-other.

I have two stories to share, one of my life here, and another of my life offline. Choose to read whichever interests you the most:

The first is here, to give an example of the traits: I joined Campaign Creations as a meager wanna-be in the late 90's, I would have to say early 1999, though the exact date I am not sure. I simply recall Rudder leaving soon after my stumble onto this site. I had send in my application for my acceptance into Campaign Creations staff straight to Desler, with my fogged thought of perfection thinking it was a shoe in with my incomplete project. Days later I received an apathetic rejection later and my childhood tantrum rose (rare) and brought the vindictive personas out. I literally set out to create a competitive site in hopes of one day winning over Campaign Creations and calling it my own. My launch date: 9/9/99; the name: Ashworld's Lava.

A pitiful site, housing old names such as TS116, War`Giant, Conqueror and myself. WG's Epoch Studios, a small modification site soon fell into AWL in hopes of helping it grow, and his talent in graphic design led to hosts of new layouts. It wasn't until months later that I gave into the thought of a forum (I feared the lack of content would make me realize the lack of a community I had). It went well, however. Soon after we went for a shorter, catchier name and dubbed ourselves Alkali Studios with self-proclaimed rivals Star Alliance being our main competitor. Always... Always AS vs. SA. Well, that feud lasted shortly after War`Giant's connection with AEN led to their vacuuming into our site and renaming ourselves once more to GameProc.

To this time I had not actually worked on something to a degree of releasing it, yet somehow still upheld my position as Administrator. At the same time, I gained an interest in SAVAGE, Star Alliance's voice acting guild (extreme). I had worked closely with Maglok for years on my campaign "Return to a Race" and we soon began to take an interest in radio plays. I occasionally gathered up a few staff and we would make a performance, once of which was featured by Blizzard: The 12 Days of WarCraft. All of this was possibly due to online radio stations. WoW Radio host Athalus was barely becoming an internet sensation as I dabbled in audio and he happily hosted this and other radio plays, this led Magic to announce me as Administrator of SAVAGE.

GameProc, however, did not last long, and without my true consent all content was handed over to Star Alliance. I was left with the Administrator position solely due to SAVAGE. I used to have this... Slogan of mine: "Taking over the SC/WC community one site at a time." Some of you may remember it. Well, this was the end for me. Losing my dear site I grew frustrated and decided to go to the top of my game and absorb Star Alliance into my own entity and become true Administrator there. Unfortunately, Magic was a very strong willed persona to deal with, and still is. It wasn't long, however, before another opportunity rose.

With no true administration privileges available, I sat and waited until one day the community administrators opted to have a round table discussion at Campaign Creations. The topic: Merger. They wanted to unite the community into a whole, something I had been wholly against since Day 1. The major reason being power. Everyone would want power and not everyone would be needed or deserve it. I was informed of the discussions by TPC, Hercanic, War`Giant, and Magic. TPC being an authority figure and a long time friend, I ran to him for assistance. I informed him I wanted in on the discussion and that my years of experience with site mergers and such could easily make me valuable. He agreed and let me into the discussion, and my persuasion came forth once again.

I stood strong opposing the merger. The only non-administrator in a discussion of merging and I persistently argued against it, and to sum it up, myself and a few others ended up voting against it and the whole idea crumbled. Campaign Creations stood there like a pile of bricks left unbuilt, and Matt was about ready to step down. He handed the righteous power to WarBringer, whom at the time was the best candidate (aside myself, naturally) since he was staff, had great projects and experience to show, and was available. His availability quickly diminished however, and he handed the hand off to War`Giant, who would not hold onto such power alone. War`Giant wasn't much of a public persona, instead he preferred to keep in the shadows and work from the back, and who better than the person he's worked with the longest: Lavarinth. Yes, there I sat twiddling my fingers, cackling as puzzle pieces fell together and long stride since 1999 was finally soon closing: I was about to be entered Campaign Creations as a co-Administrator.

I felt euphoria of urge to work hard and surpass what anyone had done for Campaign Creations. War`Giant, however, had different plans. He wanted to convert it to a forum only entity and make it a user created database of projects. I was against it, but I was not running the show. Instead, War`Giant persisted on the 180 degree turn including a white interface over the normal blue and black CC had been known for. It went as far as Razorclaw X heading into Star Alliance instead (I believe his WoS subforum is still there as hard-to-let-go Magic swears he may one day update it- Wait I just checked, it's still there). This was when I drew the line and told War’Giant he was going too far, and it led to some strong issues between us to the point eventually, a few weeks later, for whatever reason, he simply vanished.

Left with nothing more than a half complete database forum, I had to move quickly and hastily restored CC to the former layout of HTML pages in the background while creating a new forum layout after Joel had quickly created a graphical layout for me (what you see beforehand). And thanks to Ricky, whose aid is always appreciated, we quickly reverted CC back to what you see today, and I became to main Administrator of Campaign Creations.

So that is my story of my life here the past decade.

As for whom I am personally?

I am Jason, a 23 year old (24 soon) full time employee. I work at a motorcycle shop: http://www.sbmotor.com and manage this said website. My tasks here at work include, but are not limited to: Graphic design, advertisement, SEO, eBay management, online processing, customer service, in-store sales, computer IT, printer management, toner management, video recording, pre production, production, post production, motion graphics, animation, inventory specialist, mail blasting, and.. I'm sure I'm missing things. I graduated from the Art Institute of California - San Diego with a Bachelor’s in Media Arts and Animation, and only now, near two years after my graduation to I get the thought "is animation really what I wanted to do?" It is, but the question is more will I be satisfied solely with animation. I like to do it all. From contemplating in creating music, to joining another school for sound design, to getting a degree in business management and studying web development. I haven't done any of this, but I have this urge to. Unfortunately I'm not made of money and I already work full time. I have finally recently cleared out my debts. See, I was a very generous guy, and I lost quite a few thousand dollars (20) on women whom I thought were innocent. Little did I know they were simply incompetent. No one has really ever heard the whole story of my love interests, and I know I could write a book on it, so I won’t unless asked.

I am extremely comfortable in life as of now, but would like bigger and better things, naturally. I do not suffer from any disorders, illnesses, etc. I am just a very average person, with a slight sense of style thanks for girlfriends. (Apparently a style enough to attract the wrong sex at times.) I live a pretty preset lifestyle that involves working at work, working on CC, occasionally playing WoW, and other games. I attempt to spend time with my friends as often as possible as I realize our years dwindle down, but work has brought in a lot of issues with that while they are still students.

Aside all that, I can label myself as a huge procrastinator, and I apologize to Campaign Creations, herself, as a whole for taking so long to making her into the ideal product I only dream of at the moment. I've begun to introduce finances into Campaign Creations to make this into a realization; however it simply takes a lot of management when having to introduce my attempts to put a rather large sum of funds into my savings for a cushion when moving into my own location is to occur.

So this is my life. Simplistic and enjoyable. To be honest, this barely scratches the surface of my life, but I am not someone who can so easily detail things without being asked questions, so I will leave it as is unless there are further questions.

Silliness aside, another intriguing history lesson, Lav. Really, everyone that has posted their stories here is fascinating. I feel like you guys are characters in a book because so many of you have inner turmoil and deep histories.
