Re: I won't sleep until [the game] is clear
I heard MegaMan 9 was coming out as some kind of new game, but I also remember briefly playing MegaMan X. So confusing. MegaMan was my rental of choice as a kid, but the formula doesn't hold much value for me any more. Ironically, I abandoned it when they started doing their razor thin storyline (or at least it was back then, dunno what its like now).

Wat!? :o
That's like saying you've never played Final Fantasy. You don't publicly admit something like that, Lav. You quietly go to an emulator site, download a Megaman game, and play a Megaman game. Then you reply saying, "Ah yes, Megaman. I know him well. Blue man. Cannon for an arm. Very cheeky fellow."

Re: I won't sleep until [the game] is clear
The bad thing about megaman (normal, X, Z, ZX, etc.) is it tend to be repetitive and still continue a crappy story in the long run. Also tend to be rather short per game (8 bosses + whatever end-game new bosses instead of any progressive number of stages/bosses over later games).
The good thing, if you mostly just care about a 2D shooter platform game in terms of good gameplay, it's just a good game that you want to return from next game to next game. I personally hope they are still making Megaman Xs (my preferred series) since the latest I heard were the ZX series while X seems to more or less eat the dust for now. Z series (on GBA, 2nd favorite series) might be completely dead in favor of ZX (for DS).

Re: I won't sleep until [the game] is clear
I've actually played MM1-8, MMX1-8, MMZ1-4, the MMX RPG, both ZX games, both Legends games, and Megaman and Bass. I also played the Misadventures of Tronn Bonn for a little bit, too. Oh, and the remakes of MM1 and MMX1.
Mega Man 3 and 6 are two of the first games I ever played. Should be interesting playing MM9, since they're going back to the same style of game play as 6. Though, it is mildly disappointing that they are reverting back to the original Nintendo.
