I tried to youtube this but the site doesn't give me any confirmation that anything finishes, even if I leave it for 10 hours, and the videos never show up. Worthless. So here's the direct link.
This was the description I was going to post it with.
Everything may seem ordinary at first, but beware, Evil lurks in the darkness of the dying universe!
This is a quick gameplay demo of my upcoming Starcraft mod, Armageddon Onslaught. AO features a vicious computer opponent to challenge a group of 7 skilled protoss and terran players. In this video I am using dramatically modified Protoss and Terran AI to protect me while I am lazily recording and stuff and not really paying attention. They don't stand much of a chance against AO, though.
There are points when the video slows down, speeds up, or "jumps" ahead a second. This is, again, the result of Camtasia, which is quite possibly the crappiest recording software I have EVER used. And I've gone through a lot, trying to get them to record SC. Growler Guncam worked nicely, but the trial ran out. Aw fiddlesticks.
Camtasia also raped the quality. Again.
It should be pretty obvious, given "Alpha" in the title, but nothing seen here is final. Some things will dramatically change, effects need to be added, so on so forth. This is just a rundown of what the mod adds so far.
For example, one of the things to change will be the Thunderer. His Electron Storm needs a damage nerf, and he needs a unique projectile. The Doom Chariot will receive a bouncing projectile that has a chance per-bounce to deal moderate AoE damage instead of a straight-up nuke proc like he has right now. There is also the Grip of Hatred, which can melee air units to death from quite some distance away.
Currently AO features about 3/8's of its final unique unit count. Out of those units, about 2-3 are "fully complete". I currently do not plan to do wireframes.
Aside from graphics, this mod also has a lot of awesome SFX that I have created or extracted from infinity-engine games and other places. Camtasia desyncs and bends over sound, so you can't hear them today.
