Upcoming Video Game Movies

Take a gander, some remakes, some continuations, and some "wtf?" movies coming up.

I'm looking forward to Soul Calibur only to better understand a story I've always wanted to comprehend perfectly. Although I wonder if the movie would be a good way to understand that.

The Sims? Once again: wtf?

World of WarCraft, obviously well known to be in production, however, what will it be about? How long was it between TFT and WoW that something tremendous occurred one year before for the Alliance?

Silent Hill 2? Excellent, I loved the movie, to be honest. Very artsy and great use of audio.

Finally, another Mortal Kombat movie. Although lame, very fun to watch, hah. Add to that Street Fighter? Eh. Who knows, maybe this time it wont suck.

Of course other big name games Gears of War, God of War, Hitman, etc. are in the works.

And Doom 2? ... WTF?

Oh, and not listed there: Resident Evil 4 was confirmed.. Lameeee.

EDIT: Didn't notice the list below of unknown status films, Resident Evil 4 is listed on there. And Half-Life.. Hmm. I'm looking forward the the possibly Duke Nukem movie, hah.

Wow another Mortal Kombat movie, weird but eh, we'll see how this goes and I might go see the whole Hitman movie it looks good.

But what the hell, Sims movie?! hah! that seems so boring from what I pictured in my head.
And what happened to the Diablo movie? I heard it was coming out I dont know what happened to that one.

Also, wtf @ gow being classified as an RPG... it has virtually no RPG elements at all. It's more like, a delightfully violent adventure game.

I'm kinda looking foreward to In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.

I mean sure, it's based off Dungeon Siege, which I never really liked.

And sure it's being directed by Uwe Boll.  Which in an of itself is a bad thing.

But it's got John Rhys-Davies in it.  And he's awesome.  So there's some hope for it.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Castlevania.  Hello!  Looking forward to that!  The movie is said to focus on the early Castlevania series between the origin of Dracula and the Belmont clan.

They should have just called the WoW movie "WarCraft" instead of World of WarCraft. 


I still have no idea what kind of plot they intend for the Sims.  It makes absolutely no sense.

Also what happened to the Halo movie? I heard people on Xbox Live in a Halo 3 match  talking about the Halo movie?

Halo would make a horrible movie. Marathon might be alright, but Halo is just Marathon dumbed down for this generation.
