New Campaign

Post by Legion »

Greetings.

I figured it was time to show you what I've been up to. For the past weeks, I've been working on a Protoss campaign for Starcraft. So far I've got four missions finished (out of 8, excluding prologue/epilogue) and from now on, I'll be showing you some of my progress from time to time.

These screenshots reveal practically nothing, except for maybe a hero name. The heroes/campaign name/story will be released shortly, as will some sound samples.

I realize that Starcraft is old, but it's by far the best and imaginative universe (for me) to set stories/campaigns in, so I thought I'd give it one last shot before Starcraft 2 hits the shelves.

SHOT 4: A TEMPLAR HERO BRINGS ILL NEWS

Yes, it's a serious story. I don't know if anyone is still waiting for that, but I like doing it!

EDIT:
Seeing as how I don't have a site (yet), I'll post some of my updates here.

Without further ado, I present...

These four heroes play the ' key roles ' in the campaign, but they're not the only characters.

Good to see you're continuing your campaign.  :) :)

Just a question, though:  You've managed to find your old maps or you're starting from scratch?

From scratch. I have nothing left from the old one.

This one is already better, at like 30% ;D

And if you need some voice actors, I might help you.

As of yet, I can manage all voice myself. Hell, there are only four! =)

But I'll keep you in mind, Falch...

A small update, I've managed make my sound effects clearer than before, so here's a sample of someone in my campaign saying " We are tracking powerful energies in the northwest region.. Protoss! "

EDIT: ' nother sample..

Yeah, thought so too. Then again, so do the regular Archons. I guess it's to do with the blubbery Overmind's voice that you're reminded of when listening to this... Oh well. If you see an Archon in the game, you'll know it's an Archon. =)

Archon sounds nice, just needs some more flanger edit.  And Imridam is the same one I listened before, but still it's cool.  ;)

Can't wait 'til you release the sounds for Therassan and Talliras.  :) :) :)

Whoa, you didn't need to send a sample that sooner, specially if it's unfinished.  ;D ;D ;D

Nevertheless, that sound rocks!

That's kind of like saying "your paper looks nice, but it needs some corrections."
