Time for another StarCraft tournament!

Dark0men thinks I should do a StarCraft tournament.  OKAY

This time, at his suggestion, it will be DOUBLE ELIMINATION.  That means there is a primary bracket and a secondary bracket.  If you win a match in the primary bracket, you advance.  If you lose a match in the primary bracket, you retire to the secondary bracket.  If you lose a match in the secondary bracket, you are out.  In short, you must lose two matches to be eliminated.

Instead of trying to get exactly eight dudes or whatever, I will just allow any number of dudes to join.  (Note: "dudes" is short for "dudes and chicks."  Shadowflare, I am looking at you.)  Byes will be used (i.e. free advancements) instead of trying to coordinate exact numbers.  Byes will also be used if dudes drop out after the tournament has begun.

Unlike last time, the tournament this time will be held ALL AT THE SAME TIME.  This will keep the tournament from dragging on too long, and will allow for more chaotic inanity, which everyone knows is hilarious and not at all irritating.

This tournament will be open to anyone, and I have posted this on both the SA and CC forums to increase participation.  If you would like to sign up for this tournament (which will be held probably in a few weeks or so), post in the thread (either SA or CC, not necessary to post in both) and state the race that you will play (random is allowed), your location (USEast, USWest, Europe, or Asia), and what time would be good for you for the tournament (e.g. "most weekdays after 7pm EST" or "only during the sabbath") so that I can accommodate the most people.  If many dudes will be unable to play at the same time, the tournament will probably be divided up into different events.  Please sign up only if you actually intend to play, and if you will be likely to check the forums more than once a year (i.e. regularly).

The tournament will be seeded randomly, so players of all skill are welcome.  Remember, you can lose once and still play!

Matches will be best 2 out of 3 on various WGT maps, to be determined.  Feel free to post suggestions for map lineup, as well as any other suggestions.

Races will be enforced.  If you say you are playing Terran, you must play Terran in every match, if you say Random you must be Random every match, etc.

You can also sign up to be a moderator/observer/official type dude, who doesn't play but helps make sure matches get played and makes sure dudes are playing by the rules.  This is a casual tournament so this isn't really necessary since dudes can just abide by the honor system, but there will be a prize: I WILL WRITE AND RECORD A HILARIOUS SONG ABOUT THE WINNER.  This is Dark0men's suggestion.  Anyone who has heard the Beastmaster Song or the Furion Song understands that this is a prize worth fighting for.  If I win, then I will write a song about whatever I want.

OK, so I'll get the ball rolling by signing up.  I'll play Terran to mix things up.  Almost any time is good for me, except weekday mornings and afternoons when I have classes (EST).  I am USEast.

Well, as most of you know my motherboard is shot at the moment, using a laptop. It runs Starcraft oddly but good enough to play, I could play whenever at nighttime weekdays. Except Wednesdays. Usally I'm most easily available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

I'll be random for giggles. Maybe I'll get Zerg with a Probe and mind control an SCV.
