Does anyone have or know where I can find a list of all the words that are known to be censored by B.net when you try and upload a map?

Unfortunately, I fear that even if you find such list, it would be ridiculously too long considering on how Blizzard acts with censorship in general.Thalraxal wrote:Does anyone have or know where I can find a list of all the words that are known to be censored by B.net when you try and upload a map?
The closest clue you can attempt is to put the words in your map name OR in your map's extensive description (both things showing when you click on a map's description over b.net) then attempt to publish (but not sending it) it to see if the Blizzard's auto-censors will complain about it.

Dang. While I'm usually happy to do my own trial and error, that seems like too much work for what basically amounts to a joke. I'm toying with doing an SC1 campaign and was planning on having a foul-mouthed Dominion Commander and peppering his language with the more bizzare forbidden words in SC2. Ah, well.Ricky_Honejasi wrote:Unfortunately, I fear that even if you find such list, it would be ridiculously too long considering on how Blizzard acts with censorship in general.Thalraxal wrote:Does anyone have or know where I can find a list of all the words that are known to be censored by B.net when you try and upload a map?

Use bizarre euphemisms, much like Andrew Hussie does for Problem Sleuth and Homestuck

I wonder if you'd get banned for making a map where you feature the Marine's pissed audio line from Starcraft 1 when he says chickenshit.

Re: Offensive Language
More than likely, yes, as it's highly unlikely many people on their moderating team have ever played the original game.

I should catch up. I haven't been reading it for a while since I reached the last bit a few months ago and he went off to a side project.

That was pretty much my Plan B.Alevice wrote:Use bizarre euphemisms, much like Andrew Hussie does for Problem Sleuth and Homestuck
Oh man, Problem Sleuth. Awesome stuff. I haven't read Homestuck or any of the others though. I'm saving them for a day when I've got a lot of free time and required something awesome.

Homestuck has got quite a slooow a boring start, but halfway act 2 it gets progressively more awesome to the point of universe collapse.
