I know. It's really fun to hear you talking. Excellent voice over. I think it was as good as the wc3 campaigns' voice overs.

Re: Who are your favourite characters?
Razlia's past is a huge spoiler. When I plotted out Book 5 I just found it 'odd' that I was putting the Book 5 'endboss' in the middle of the campaign, but there really wasn't a way to put him there.
He's also far from dead, but he doesn't have much of a choice in what he gets to do for the time being (of course that changes almost immediately when Book 6 starts the way it's set up).
As far as the topic goes, Yue Fang is my favorite. She's the poster-girl for what the idea of Purgatory is all about, as hers is the most pure form of the idea compared to the corrupted dreams (contrasted with Arcadia, who listens to and consorts with the Burning Legion).

Nekurow was my favourite since the first book, even if he is an evil bastard with an only thought in mind....
I think that his obsessive thirst of revenge will certainly end up destroying him.

Somehow I found Arcadia to be an interesting boss, a goddess that is simply a pawn of the system.....RazorclawX wrote: Razlia's past is a huge spoiler. Re: Who are your favourite characters?
I have so many favorites...
Definitely, Shizu - Kurumi was right that you want to hate her but can't help liking her
I always liked Kanna - farmer and warrior always makes for a legendary combo; also, she's the only one who was able to beat Hikaru and the gang in Book 1.
Yue-fang always reminded me of Kanna for some reason... do they use the same voice?
Sorana... I aways felt bad for her - living as a clone and all.
Shizu's mother - I always liked that story arc though I admit I thought it would turn out differently... I thought she'd end up sacrificing her life for Shizu.
Johan! A more lovable down-to-earth and somewhat foolish version of Robin Hood. He becomes like indestructible by my second play through.
Bah, too many! Maybe, it's easier just to say the ones I love to hate!
Sypha! She irks me off for some reason... I always thought it's ironic how everyone in Book 6 say what a fool Nekurow is because of his whole obsession for vengeance, but Sypha isn't any different if not worse. Granted she has a reason to want to kill Nekurow's ancestors, but she exacts her revenge on their descendants who are ignorant as hell, and the vengeance for getting kicked out is more of an issue of pride...
I thought Kasumi and Book 3 was hilarious, but Kevin's a bit annoying. I think it's because in Book 3, Kasumi just seemed dense and like an idiot who doesn't know what the hell is going on around her, but Kevin knows too much and still acts like an idiot.
Oh, yeah, I always like to hate Arcadia too. She was a good villain.
Zule... I wouldn't trust him even if he passed a lie detector test... I always thought it was funny how Shizu's group is all in sync under her command, but the four sword guys are just a very loose confederation: Nekurow's goal is obvious and personal, Zule's - is personal but I don't really know what it is but you know he's gonna screw anyone over to get it. Six can probably be trusted but I remember he says that he doesn't care about getting vengeance anymore, but when he destroys something, you can tell he was lying by the things he says, but they defeated the Jin so who knows; and Hikaru is just as or more than likely to help Shizu than to fight against her, so you already know that he and Nekurow are going to butt heads somewhere along the line...

Re: Who are your favourite characters?
Shizu - because she's a female main character and kind of "cute"
.
Next would be Kanna or Mizuki. Hikaru is 3rd. And Nekurow...

Re: Who are your favourite characters?
Here I am necromanc'ing a thread again, hehe. =]
My favorite character... Shizuka was the first to come to mind, but... I like Hokuto a lot, I just don't like the fact that she's bisexual. Why couldn't she be asexual? =P
My choice would be one of these two girls. I don't like Shizuka when she says "What does animate do? Promote love and friendship like it's greater than anything". I don't agree, friendship IS greater than anything, in my opinion.
Kurumi is a somewhat likable character too, because of her dislike for the sight of blood, and the fact that she cries a lot.
The character I identify myself with most is Hikaru. When I was younger, I was also very very naive, and just like him, I had to learn the hard way.
Arcadia was an interesting character. On the first book, you imagine the plot being «the group of heroes that free the queen and live happily ever after», not imagining how wrong you are.

Re: Who are your favourite characters?
I happen to like Shizuka myself as well, especally since she is my favourite character of the entire series. Sure she can be bitchy, but that's part of the reason why I like her.
Heck, there's hardly as many female characters who are as bitchy as she is (Arcadia doesn't count, self-proclaimed Goddess or not).
The other part of the reason I like her? Well, even though she's very smart and aware of...well, a lot, she says it in her own way AND voices her opinion on it (her quote from near the end of Book 1 comes to mind: "What're you looking at? Did the story not sound long, boring, and convoluted enough for you?").
Not too many women like that. Can I marry her?

Comes to show that some Damsels in Distress aren't worth rescuing.

Heheh. I can imagine a nice little title for that moment: "Welcome to a Good Old Kick in the Pants in Arcadia!"I like Hokuto a lot, I just don't like the fact that she's bisexual. Why couldn't she be asexual? =P]
Because it's no fun when every character in every series is asexual, and having someone being bisexual is more fun and interesting.

Re: Who are your favourite characters?
Sorceria has lots of memorable characters, but overall it seems the generally opinion goes for Shizuka. I personally enjoyed playing Shizuka myself, and her personality certainly is interesting and fun.
The only problem I have with sorceria is the script, the script writing managed to get the story across, but could've been written in a better way. Many lines in the first 3 books were simply just bad story telling, I mean it got the point across and it kept me interested, but that's because I was determined to sit through eat long cutscene to see the story. I don't mind cutscenes that are long, but when it's the pacing and scripting that drags out the point of the story, then that's another story.
Overall though, I still find Sorceria to be a great story and I really enjoyed it. And most of all, i find it amazing RazorclawX could come up with it all. If possible, I'd even want to draw a manga on Wanderers of Sorceria, but of course, I couldn't do that without inflicting copyright issues upon myself. I'd still have the urge to draw a few doujins though.
edit: just noticed, it said 6 posts. Did the forum go through some kind of change and that my old posts were deleted? or did I really post that little during the past 5 years?
