This is a topic dedicated to the progress of the Starcraft: Brood War campaign The Ascension of Duran. I figured it would be good to have a progress thread to keep me on track.
6/11/07
Changed the doors in Map 4 to crystals that are killable in certain cases. Added more sound affects to map 04 and finished the mission briefing for it. Map 4 still needs many other doors added in, as well as more triggered battle events around, and door opening triggers. End boss fight and script needs to be written.

For map 04 I added in lots of doors that have to be passed through (they are all pretty triggered) and adjusted some units. Added in rescuable units throughout the level. Added in some protoss defense systems in the map as well. Added a protoss robot to say random things as well. Still have about 1/2 of the map to trigger as far as doors go, and then the boss battle/betrayal as well.

Map 04 is nearing completion, I'm not sure what I want to do with the boss fight in the end, other then you fight some type of soupped up archon. Pretty much all doodads/units/triggers besides the ending ones are in now. Theres just 1-2 minor door bugs that shouldn't be too hard to fix. Also need to add in a switch/trigger for duran getting killed once you are given control over him.

Maps 1-6 are all almost ready for beta testing, all that needs to be added in is ending map triggers for maps 4 and 5, and a mission briefing + some extra triggers at the end fro map 6. If you are interested in beta testing then contact me on aim or msn, however you are expected to be fairly good at starcraft and able to play without using ANY cheats. This campaign would be considered a difficult campaign.
