that's really all I have to say about the matter, though I had kind of wanted to try putting linux on the ps3, it wouldn't yield any returns greater than my notebook.

Nothing suspicious about the release on April 1st? It's debatable since it feels serious, buuut- I don't think it's real.

I don't get it.  What's not to believe?  Did anyone EVER use Linux on their PS3?  And if they did, did they have it for any purpose other than because they could?

There's a guy called geohot that says he got into some of the higher levels of the cell processor and could possiby pirate things. He's now planning on developing CFW for the PS3 and will probably get sued into oblivion like the last guy that tried to do that.

I think they want to keep the PS3 the only console that hasn't been pirated to shit.

Linux on PS3 is basically useless for anything other than ripping DVDs and stuff due to RAM limitations.

Pretty sure most pirates are too damn cheap to afford Blu-Ray discs to begin with.

btw god of war 3 is awesome
