that's really all I have to say about the matter, though I had kind of wanted to try putting linux on the ps3, it wouldn't yield any returns greater than my notebook.

I don't get it.  What's not to believe?  Did anyone EVER use Linux on their PS3?  And if they did, did they have it for any purpose other than because they could?

There's a guy called geohot that says he got into some of the higher levels of the cell processor and could possiby pirate things. He's now planning on developing CFW for the PS3 and will probably get sued into oblivion like the last guy that tried to do that.

Linux on PS3 is basically useless for anything other than ripping DVDs and stuff due to RAM limitations.
