Basically I haven't done any voicing at all since The Great Destroyer back in late 2008/early 2009, and The Great Destroyer was the first voice I had done in almost a year in that period. Needless to say, I nearly totally abandoned voice acting.
But Oracle still wanted me to voice some minor roles so I decided to start practicing again.
This demo contains three samples - the first is a very generic Undead voice but using some basic dialogue. The second is a conceptual response set for the Tiamat from Armageddon Onslaught, about 25% of the responses. The third is a non-canon dialogue chunk from Xul`Amon, originating from my novel. As I lost all of my scifi deluxe presets from upgrading to windows 7 (they don't pass over with the other presets in the text files), I have been trying to rebuild that amazing preset I had before but have failed miserably. So this is kind of a placeholder.
As my anxiety attacks and brain damage become more and more severe, I stumble over speech much more. This is not production-level quality, it's scrap-level practice but I'm deciding to post it to get some feedback. I didn't really do much cleanup so there's a few pops and some clangs in the background.
This is the first time I've ever released voiced dialogue to the public outside of the Vile Eggression campaign.
The dialogue was thought up totally on the fly as usual.

Re: 2010 voice test
cpu fans and case fans and such can contribute to static. Try repositioning the mic. To remove static, select a region with just static in Audition, capture sound profile, then select entire file and use noise removal at max power with that profile.
Tiamat was not actually voiced as clear as I wanted, which compounded the effects.

Hey man, impressive. Impressive as ever.
The voice that sounded during the word Xul'Amon sounded the best. The voice (not the accent) reminds me very much of David Wenhan when he narrated 300. It's a damn good voice, one of your best. The Tiamat sounded like a generic demon, but I've come to realize that generic are the hardest to do.
Good job, man. Keep 'em coming. If you have the time and nothing else to do, I'd say you should make this your specialty for a while.

@Mesk: Good use of Audition. Narrator sounds pretty good. The second voice, sounds like some crazy Orc from Austria. Third voice is most natural - Like Aldaris when he was a young 100.
@Krazy: Another cheap way to knock out the fuzz is buy yourself an inexpensive audio extension chord (you can pick one up for about $10) and take your mic into the closet. The clothes and carpet - if there's carpet - should bring that audio to a nice, crisp clean.

Xul even if with a bad effect sound amazing because there's a lot of emotion in the voice, it really is very natural. You seriously are not out of this stuff yet, you can still do this and do this well!
