Book 5 Chapter 3 (Tiger's Cage) difficulty

So ehm... How are you supposed to do this?! Basically I end up spending ALL my time teleporting from town hall to town hall just to not die. Attacks come so often that I just can't find any time at all to go on the offensive and take out an enemy. That initial strike force of 10 knights + 2 heroes really isn't able to put a dent in any of the enemies either.

It is not that hard. The truck is toattack the first Enemy base to the east from you ASAP and take down the messanger. Destroy almost everything, but leave a primal structure alive, I suggest the Lumber mill. That way you won't trigger the surprise attack yet and have enough time to deforest the area where your enemy was, and mine out his gold as well( make sure you have no upkeep so slay your redundant units till you go below the low upkeep limit). with the mines and trees going down, and leaving the lumber mill alive you can walk away even from the computer and do something esle while your recources stock up. Then do all the upgrades, and make as many units as you can. (building towers can be helpful against Mount tessai)
afterwards take down the lumber mill, and you can make the surprise attack with the fresh knights, scaldar and yue fang. Take down as much as you can with this small army. Then after you finish with the raid, take down tessai and the generator as soon as you can. and from here you take down the bases one by one and have a gazillion recources.

I didn't know all that method.  I did it the average way.

I basically built an army, destroy the eastern bases.  Saved my file right before base assault, have Scalder go directly past the battlefront to behind the base and wait for messenger and web him down.  Took me a few tries because I saved 1 second before messenger was sent, so I had to rush him to the front and play chase with the messenger, 5th or 6th load did it, managed to web it before it past the wall.

I cleared the base, received the raid force.

I pretty much raided the main halls of 2~3 bases with their alter and other main buildings basically.  Didn't stay behind to clean each base, just literally went in and raid the base and took out units and main, and move on to next one.

After the raid, I gained a battalion of knights PLUS my original army.  Using it I just wiped the floor with the bases I screwed up badly.  Until Tessai came and my huge army got wiped because they were stuck in the valley against Tessai's AOE.  After an entire valley retreating and getting killed, the survivors (and very few survivors I might add,) took down Tessai.  Then I just kept playing normally and wiped the last remaining base and Tessai revived and screwed me over, but at least I was prepared.  Then I finished off the generator and level was over.

With a level 3 purge, Yue Fang can kill Tessai in under a minute.  Each hit deals 500 damage at level 3, and purge has a very quick recharge rate.  I like to use fliers to destroy Tessai's generator because even if Tessai is there, he can't do a thing against the fliers.  If the murlocs are there (if you accepted them in book 3's 'siege of redmont'), their base can be very helpful in stopping some of the attacks that come from the north.
