You both crashed in separate areas on the planet, and your ship seems to be damaged beyond repair. Your companion's ship still seems to work, however he was incapacitated beyond the ability to fly in the crash. Salvaging what you can from your ship to use as weapons and gear, you must journey across the molten face of Char and survive the Zerg's overwhelming forces to reach your only hope for escape.
