"EA’s ‘Dead Space’ is set in the cold blackness of deep space. The atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror."
Anyone like its gameplay? Its suspense to play more? I thought the game can be difficult at times even at easy. Especially when you have to fight the boss Hunter. The story is very detailed and the graphics are top notch, it makes you feel either like a movie or real life actually. The blood and gore is intense even just the writings on the wall. The fighting is good too, I definitely like the strategic dismemberment that gives it a wider variety of combat, like the pregnants in the game you must go for the head lest you be attacked by miniature critters. I give it 5/5.

Ive got pretty far into the game, about 5 more chapters left, game is very eery and dark even with somewhat well lit areas, anything can happen in this game even when your expecting something it still can freak you out. The bosses all have unique abilities and models, not just some similar alien.
It's Doom 3 in 3rd Person, except this time around you only have about 1 REAL weapon, everything else is just mining equipment (which ironically are stronger than the Pulse Rifle).
It's good if you're into finding out storylines of repetitive types of games, but the gameplay gets kind of good around the first Boss Fight(?)
On another note, your ammo will run out purposely in the beginning, so just run.
P.S. The store makes you godlike, ammo becomes less of a problem when you get to one.
I've played a bit of it. It's creepy, it's got a good story, some nifty plot ideas and a very cool setting. But I've got to agree with CDLVII, it's not very scary.

Oh I find it gripping, I get the intense moments when im expecting something to appear walking down long hallways. Besides Fear I havent had many games like Dead Space in the horror/thriller type.
