Greetings - This is the Oracle

Greetings Starcraft Community,
My handle is "The Oracle", my name is Elye. Joel Steudler and I created and developed the Legacy of the Confederation campaign series. It is absolutely amazing to me that even after all this time since starcraft's release, the game still has a strong following, especially in the modding community.
Warcraft III can not say the same I fear. While my campaign development days are over, if ever I can help anyone with the LotC maps, or if you have questions on modding in general, I'll be happy to try to help.
If you can't reach me here, email me at
mspawn@excite.com or use my ICQ that I've noted on this forum.

Heh, it seems everyone with half a sense says the same - wc3 will be long dead before SC is. Hell, wc3 never really started off at all...

Record with your microphone using software such as Adobe Audition or Goldwave, then put it into your MPQ as an ADPCM .wav file I think it was (Might be PCM .wav? Try either format) replacing the path of the sound you want it to replace.

Use winmpq to put it in your mod's custom mpq. Just create a new one and later on use mpqdraft to run it with SC.
Since you probably want to replace a file sound file, browse stardat and broodat mpqs for the sounds you want to replace. Put your sound file in YOUR mpq (not the game's existing ones!) with that same path. I think there was another topic here that had a list file link somewhere which you will need.

Uh, datedit doesn't have anything to do with sound file editing unless you're redirecting ID's or something which is COMPLETELY unnecessary.
Just put the files in your mpq as the same path you want to replace.
Example -
Say I want to replace the terran marine's ready sound with a sound of a donkey giving birth. The path I want my file to look like in my mpq is sound\terran\marine\tmardy00.wav.
Once you have your files in your mpq, use mpqdraft to load starcraft with your mpq.
