Update:  As of 8:00PM Western Time, Barack Obama has become the President Elect of the United States of America.  McCain's concession speech was gracious, and Obama's acceptance speech was truly inspirational in the hope that we have for the future.  Yes we can.  Yes we can.

As a Canadian, I'm still kinda hoping that McCain wins, simply because he's more Pro-NAFTA than Obama is.  But mostly I'm just jealous of you darn Americans with your meaningful elections and having more then one candidate who's actually got leadership potential!

Oh, well.  I suppose there's the midterm elections.  And I'm sure Democrats will enjoy being the target of nonstop attacks for the next four years as people realize Obama isn't The Messiah.  It will be interesting to see how many Republicans are going to give Obama the same open minded welcome the Democrats gave Bush.

Okay, so the people in Quebec actually had a choice between two candidates with leadership potential.  Lucky them.  That still leaves the rest of the country with only one.

I find the fact that more Canadians are more exicited about the American elections then the Canadian elections very annoying, but not surprising.
