My Xbox 360 just got it, I ordered all the stuff from Microsoft to send it to them, it was all free so far...
I was just curious to see if anyone else here has gotten it?

My brother's gotten it like 5 times since he got it, I never have since I got mine. It depends what version you have. He got one of the first ones and they were still working out the kinks. I got the MASTER CHIEF version and it's never had a problem ever.

It's not a question of "if" you get red ring'd, it's when. It's like an INITIATION. It'll probably happen again too. But you just send it into Microsoft and they fix it.

I had it like 3 times with one of the older models so I got tired of having to get it fixed so I just sold mine and got a PS3.

If you do sell and still want a 360 get one of the newer models now only 200 bucks.

Mines less than a year old and Lav they're still pretty popular around here, not that many people seem into the PS3 here.

Yeah, just call and they'll fix it at no charge. Just don't give them your harddrive.

Manufacturer's Warranty only lasts so long. Meaning after X number of years, you can't send it in for free to get it fixed anymore.

Happened to my roommate. After he sent it, took less than a week to get it back. No big deal, just call em up and get it started.

Just got the box today, gonna ship it tomorrow. And that's great if they ship it in a week because my birthday is the 29th this month.
What's funny is I got the ring right when I bought Madden 09.

The RRoD issue is a warranty by itself now when you call Microsoft.

Everytime I sent it in to the manufacturer it took almost a month to fix the ring of death yet they'd say they'd have it back in less than 2 weeks.

Talked to my friend who got it, he said he got his back in under 2 weeks, hopefully I get mine back then since my birthday is in 6 days. Hope it's not out for a month like Marine's.
