Proven by the polls.  95% of all African-Americans voted for Obama, regardless of whether or not they agreed with his policies.  Not that they really care, anyway.  Although, at least it will be easier to live off of Welfare! ;)
Umm, do you think black people are stupid?

It has been a great week so far.  I'm telling you, it's like a new day.  I go to work, and people are hopeful again and optimistic about the future.  Now all the secrets in the McCain campaign are coming out about how much of a disaster Sarah Palin was.  To think, the woman was THAT CLOSE to becoming the 2nd most powerful person in the United States.  If everything about Obama is true that he's a Muslim, terrorist, radical Christian, communist, fascist (how these relate to each other I don't know), then thank God!  I'd rather deal with Obama then what that woman would have done to this country.

And lol, mAc.  You don't make over $250,000 a year.  Most Republicans don't make $250,000 a year.  I like how you feel you're included with the super rich of how Obama is going to "take away" all your money and you'll be left with nothing.  Shut up and take your tax cut and cheaper healthcare.  You will be a richer Republican by the time the Obama presidency is finished.

Jesus christ AA7, are you really in that much need of substantiation for your victory? It's over, you don't need to keep attacking McCain and Palin.

Let's not resort to namecalling. If you have a point to make, make it, but keep it civilized. We have moderating rules now :) and stuff like that does not comply to those rules.

So nice how you use Fact Check for Obama and not for Palin, otherwise you would've noticed that the campaign aides are scrambling to save their own sorry hides. There's even a big article on CNN.com calling them out on it, too.

Stop being a sore winner. You're not helping any by pouring salt all over it.

In other news I heard Obama is supporting yet another round of stimulus checks. As if the first one actually did any good.

No, I agree the McCain aides were just as bad.  The entire campaign was inconsistent, sleezy, and haphazard.  But you're right, pouring salt over it doesn't help.  What is important is looking to the future.

I'm not a big fan of the stimulus checks either.  I hope when they analyze the recession further they are able to find more realistic solutions than just throwing borrowed money at taxpayers.

What do you think of the Rahm Emanuel appointment as Chief-of-Staff?  I think it's safe to say we can check off "anti-semite" off the list of Obama fears.  The man's father was born in Jerusalem and used to be a member of a militant Zionist group.  We can only assume Obama will be a very close friend to Israel.

The problem isn't something politicians can fix.  These collapsing financial institutions are falling apart because some people don't have good financial management skills.  I wouldn't be living where I am today if someone could of kept on making that important mortgage payment.  The problem is there are no lasting consequences with leaving someone else holding the bill - sure your credit ruining turns to crap - but at some point a lot of people will be fine with just living check to check and having no credit.  So once the credit rating issue is gone, there are no further consequences.

If the penalty for missing a mortgage payment was life in prison, we wouldn't be having this problem, because people wouldn't get mortgages they can't afford in the first place.  Obviously, that isn't a reasonable solution.  My point is, the problem is human nature.  My point is, its a problem thats way too big for anyone to be expected to overcome.  How do you intend to address that?  Throwing money at something usually is the easiest way to make a problem go away.  It's an uncreative 'fix-all' solution that sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.  An imperfect solution for the fickle human race.

In more ways than one; it's actually VERY expensive to keep people locked up in prison.

To be honest I don't really care who he picks for his staff as long as they know what they're doing.

Um... even before all of the staffers started talking about her, I think that it's pretty safe to say that Sarah Palin was a disaster, anyway.

However, having said that... since you didn't link to whatever CNN article you were talking about, I had to go and look for it.  This is the closest thing I could find:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/07/ ... index.html

If that is the article you're talking about... that's really not saying much of anything at all.  That's Sarah Palin saying "They're being mean to me."  I don't know whether the things that the staffers have been saying are true or not, but that article is no reason to believe that they aren't.

Tell me you were talking about some other article, which I didn't find...

You missed the point: they're trying to save their own hides by making her the scapegoat. I don't care what you think of Sarah Palin, but the fact is they brought her in, they blatantly mishandled her from the onset, and they are blaming her for everything they did wrong.

None of which still excuses the fact that they ended up running a real crappy campaign. Sarah Palin wasn't the reason John McCain lost the campaign; it was lost from the very beginning. Mitt Romney figured that out early enough and dropped out quickly and let the Republican Party throw John McCain to the wolves.

Okay... so... what I gather from this, then, is that Sarah Palin was batshit insane, and those staffers are assholes.

Haha... I'm not trying to blame anyone for McCain's loss.  If I were going to, that person would be Barack Obama.

EDIT:  OR, perhaps, Bush :D

I see what you're saying though.  Palin's dumb, but McCain is the one who picked her.  I knew that it was a terrible move from the time that he announced his VP pick, and I said "who is that?" And I listened to her speak about being a "hockey mom," and all that shit... I honestly expected that they might retract that pick, and find someone else.  But I think, at that point, they couldn't do that.  They couldn't say "Oh wait, hold on, that was poor judgment on our part!  Let's pick someone else!"

So basically, I agree.  The campaign aides are being douchebags.  But that doesn't change the fact that Palin is a crazy person, and that, like AA7 said...

If you go back to Monday, then that is still true.  Today, that is true, as well as what you've said.

Thank you, HKS, for actually providing the link, which I presume is the one RCX is talking about.

The Palin attacks are just garbage being thrown out by disgruntled staffers.
