America still sold guns after WW2, or did you forget the proxy wars fought by the USSR and the US?

Pre-WW1 the US had an isolationist policy, what this meant  is that they wouldn't get involved, but they also did very little trading with the world at large outside of a select few countries. Also I highly suggest you look up the Philippine-American war.

That's because both of them were really moderates and had the same position on issues, but the more experienced Senator decided to rely on the same base which Rove mobilized in 2004 to his detriment.  It's just like with Howard Dean in that same election; everyone assumed that he was this hot-headed ultraliberal radical when even his mother said Dean was just a mild-mannered centrist governor of a quiet New England state and a former doctor who married another doctor.
