Well remember that Vista is still in its new stages, and Vista isnt really meant for gaming yet, but once they do some more updates on it the new versions will be able to, also call the Windows and ask them or e-mail.

I have been using Vista exclusively, and I haven't really had any problems with mods or modding tools as long as I have things configured properly.
BTW, if your motherboard supports selecting which drive to boot from, it works better to install each OS to a different hard drive. I have done this on my computer and I make sure that the other drives are unplugged or disabled, so that the installer does not detect the others.

Wow, I haven't even got XP yet, I like 98 too much, always has run great for me. No problems ever.

ok so with some research i found out how to get around windows dep if you are using vista.......you run command prompt as administrator and type the following command:
bcdedit.exe /set nx AlwaysOff
then restart your computer and bam...windows dep is disabled
and to enable it type the same command only put AlwaysOn
