Hm, I feel old. Security tester. I worked as IT tester first, but I have shifted to security IT testing (the well known ethical hacking, etc.) and security consultancy. I like it. My degree says I am a bachelor of Information and Communication Technology.

English teacher. Still not graduated from teacher training college, but working three days a week, six classes a day.
It's getting boring, so I'm thinking about doing something else. Not sure what, though.

I always figured most of you guys were just students, but some of you guys have some really cool jobs. But to me, you'll always be those teenage punks who overran my forum.

Great forums and other things are made by great overrunnings, Desler. The Protoss had the Zerg, Lordaeron had the Undead, and now you get stuck with us.I always figured most of you guys were just students, but some of you guys have some really cool jobs. But to me, you'll always be those teenage punks who overran my forum.

I don't really have a job as of yet, however my current hobbies include scripting php (still learning), 3-D architecture and object design, image manipulation... As well as various other things. I also write fiction, play games...
I also register and revisit places on-line that I haven't been to in years.

I thought you had made an account already, here? Either way, yes, Hercanic is still around here. Obviously things have still changed slightly. You'll see him pop in and out of the forum. But his lazy-ass never decided to put the forum back up, for what reasons I'm unsure. Well, welcome back around the CC environment Darcy. It's like STF- Except more a little more active.Orion Dezagrats wrote: I don't really have a job as of yet, however my current hobbies include scripting php (still learning), 3-D architecture and object design, image manipulation... As for me, I was looking to post this tomorrow but have nothing to do at the time at work and probably wont be around tomorrow. As of tomorrow I'll be a college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Animation, thankfully as mentioned before, the title is so broad that I can do just about anything media-related. I'm urging to know if a possible employment with Blizzard (they are only around an hour away from me) would require me to ditch the current online identity and relations. If that is true, I probably would not apply to Blizzard, simple as that. I wouldn't drop the community for a job that I can get anywhere else. My first option is SOE, they happen to be located in the same city and pay very well. My dad being manager of a popular motorcycle store here, he knows quite a bit of people and knows a few in SOE, so it's kind of like both legs are in the door as opposed to only a foot. We'll see how that goes though, not anxious to start the "adult life" quite yet. I would rather do that living comfortably and at the moment I'm not quite doing so thanks to two rather large mistakes with lending money. So I'm hoping my current job will agree to my pay raise proposal I'm going to mention to them later and then I'll stick around here for a while. Otherwise I'll be starting the adult life sooner than planned.

Thanks, and yeah, I had. But I decided to drop that one name--couldn't remember the name, e-mail, password, the works. Besides, this name suits me much better.Lavarinth wrote:I thought you had made an account already, here? Either way, yes, Hercanic is still around here. Obviously things have still changed slightly. It's good to read ya' again. I'm happy for you, looks like you have a possibly stable future ahead of you. Way better planned out than my own--but then again, I never took the time to plan mine out, and I've still got lots to do before I graduate high-school. Three years down the drain. I should be in Grade 12 by now... I'd say the teachers were inept, but I know that it was my issue that I let myself be lazy.
Good luck with the Blizzard thing. And I give you my beforehand congratulations on the Bachelor's Degree

Re: What Do You Do?
Currently have a college diploma as a analyst programmer although I didn't really search for a job of it.
Since I didn't update myself and practice much about it (over 4-5 years), I am likely better to get some certificate at fixing computer instead in the end. It would also require less to be "with the times".
In the short term I am not doing much job-wise although I will search for one sooner or later ... as in the next 0-2 months.

I'm still trying to find an engineering job, but it doesn't help that my region's economy is in the toilet for reasons I don't care to argue about.

Re: What Do You Do?
not sure im counted as a student ...yet.
doing this icky must do first before university applications: psychomatric course, far off the house, long time to reach, likewise the way back.
instead of maikng a living, its losing a living for pre-university, then likely university.
goals: unclear,, i once considred tutoring, or working at the LEGO company,, as, umm, something there, lol.
[but it is abroad, and no idea of degree requirements and such -sigh-]
