You should only be so fortunate that I haven't figured out how to use "Love Potion #9" somewhere.

Count Zule's music theme was suicide. "Have a rhythm" That music drove me insane. It's so bad, .but I have to admit that  the majority of the music used in WoS are decent.
Most of the tracks he used in WoS are pretty good, IMO. My favorite soundtrack in his campaigns was the one he used in Final Destiny for Starcraft.

I'll have to agree that Wanderers from Ys does have a fantastic music score, although I've only played Ys 3 and 4. Some of the music is very memorable indeed - I can't forget the climactic music at the tower, the haunting music of the cave's depths and most of the action themes.

You can probably get someone to create you some music if you are willing to part with a little cash, this way it will be consistent and no legal problems

i found it rather exotic to add various themes per mission.
though ofc, the dillema occurs, as example, if you cant find the game,or the soundtracks on, say, amazon or e bay, those webbies seem a reliable method to enjoy the various themes, yet, on the ther hand, it  is to be considred theft :s

There really isn't a problem using game music though.  Legally, yes, there are some questions.  But from the developers standpoint, they are probably willing to look the other way as long as you don't go overboard, like claiming it to be your own music or something.  When used in a mod or something, all it does is promote awareness of their product a little bit.  They don't lose anything by you using their music, unless you start offering that music up freely for download.

True, in rare circumstances, they'll take a stand if you distribute your work via popular media, like magazines (LoaM was only released in light version via magazines due to copyright music). However I don't recall a stance from company against mods using music relating to free projects, and with that, I doubt they'll start anytime soon.

Yeah, any popular publication or gaming web site might have a problem distributing it if you use someone elses copyrighted works, but most people never really reach that level anyways.

Seems PC Gamer is becoming more open to modding slowly, every once in a while, more so than before, they'll have multi-page articles on mods. One day I'm sure a magazine would release based purely on mods, hah.

Modding isnt that sustainable to warrent a magazine, and beside which, magazines are going the way of the dodo.
