Nostalgia, Why NOW? Sheesh. Not Again.
I hate the feeling right now.
I love the urge to express it and bring you all down with me.
Nostalgia, Why now?!
Let me be my Japanese self right now and apologize first for the inconvenience of my writing and the time I take to get my complete point across if not redundant.
Let me be my Chinese self right now and speak in circles a bit more: I wish I could enter this community once again without mentioning the past because it's such a hassle to recall the past but such a burden not to.
Even with all its changes, there's a certain nuance in the forums of CampaignCreations that makes the atmosphere of this website feel the same as it was more than five years ago. Maybe it's the same people... maybe it's the same content that's still available on the site after all this time... or something greater: With Blizzard and the return of the Starcraft franchise in the second coming of the messiah-like game, I've found my interest once again peering repeatedly into the Starcraft community. Unlike Warcraft up to it's third continuation, Starcraft, ever since it's debut release in 1998, has spawned a greater more loyal community than Warcraft. One of the many things that has made it live on to this day was the Campaign Editor's/WorldEdit's simplicity and therefore accessibility to the community. Warcraft III was too chunky. Like some over-the-top fantasy movie, there were too many aspects to worry about whereas in Starcraft, less effort was needed to truly feel engaged. (For those Simcity fans, compare Simcity 2000 to Simcity 4). Oh, the classics, pure cake without the need of frosting. Ah, a piece of cake... making me hungry now.
Anyways, I'm glad to see CampaignCreations is still in business with many veterans roaming the forumside. I've been following this site since about a year after it's introduction and I can still remember the classic fresh baked pie sitting on the window sill: former Dark Reign 2 and Age of Kings sections. I hope Starcraft 2 will bring a new flurry of luscious sweet chocolatey creativity as much as the original Starcraft had done. I look forward to tasting CC's future projects and hope they are as tender as they are yummy. My tummy is literally about to grumble now.
Also, I just started college and I switched to a Mac(book) in the process...
And I totally agree with Matt: it's as smooth as butter on french toast topped with sprinkles of sugar.
I confidently do not regret staying away from any Vista laptops this year as they burn your toast the minute you first try and push down the toaster. Things just don't pop out right from a Vista.
When I first came to CC, I was in elementary school. The nicknames I remember having were:
Homer Simpson
& Gemini_Kilik
I miss DavetheSCV.
I love the urge to express it and bring you all down with me.

Baked, layered, and frosted it myself

Second cake ever... haha janky frosting... looks flufflier that way.
I was wondering if anybody still has the DavetheSCV maps? Those were beloved classics for me.
Chausara(dot something) is long gone now and I forgot the author but I think his name also started with Matt?
However, I still have yet to obtain a copy of the original Starcraft game. . .

Baked, layered, and frosted it myself. Coffee liqueur white cream, and chocolate outside frosting.

Yeah! I remember you as Gemini_Kilik! Doubt you'd remember me, I spent most of my time as a lurker called Kellanved back then.
Regarding cakes: I've baked quite afew of them, but mine don't last long enough for me to take a picture of them.

Heh, your cakes must be that good if they disappear that quickly!
And BBMarine, if you live in the Bay Area, I probably could, unless you would like to pay for shipping. That cake I'd estimate it around 7lbs.

Again, does anyone have the DavetheSCV series - anyone?

Welcome back, Gemini. I'm glad you also made the switch to Apple too.

But don't confuse me with Gemini, creator of Life of a Marine.
But thanks.
