Good cerebrate name

Post by X »

How do you come up with a good zerg cerebrate name? It seems so hard to come up with one that sounds good and actually could be feasible. Kinda like how Desler came up with Nugdraas and Omanyys, how do you come up with something like that!? If anyone has any suggestions or knows how to come up with these names please let me know.
I am X, I have seen countless worlds fall to great evils and their own foolishness, I have seen atrocities you cannot imagine, as well as things of incredible beauty of both the material world and of the spirit.

I don't know how everyone else does it, but years ago when i made my SC campaign, I used http://gammadyne.com/rwg.exe to come up with, at the very least, a base word which I could modify.

Give it a shot. It's a random word generator.
Now with 50% more lol, 50% more win, and 100% phlail.

I just think of something and it comes to mind or i mix words together, like I had Magrex once and it was Malgaz and Kelgax and I just mixed words together.

Blagzsz sounds more undead but I used it for one of the minor Cerebrates in my campaign, Magrex if you want it, Kharog, Sazx, Chronos, Kroxg.

Coming up with a good name is hard. There are a lot of bad names out there, you know.

Just use your imagination. Using somebody else's names won't make you happy in the end, I guess.

I sometimes find that names I make up sound totally ridiculous to me, but they wouldn't necessarily be weird to other people.  Thus, I'd recommend generating as many as you can and posting them, and asking which ones we think are the best and why.  Unless it's a secret project, in which case, I recommend suicide.

Well, making up names for cerebrates is quite easy. You can borrow mythological names, make up something that ends in oth or ash, or just throw a few vowels together. Or if you want to do it the nutsy way, write down the sounds you make while eating with your mouth full.

Only the brood names. The Cerebrate names are what Blizzard got when they tried breathing in a pot of mashed potatoes.

You will find some names worthy of cerebrates if you search through Sumerian kings and deities.
You haven't lived until you've edited 5,000 recorded .mp3's of dialogue!

Bob the cool Cerebrate, Joe the dumb Cerebrate, Janet the Evil Cerebrate.

These are all used in the past.
