I kind of guessed that in the end. However, I wanted to give him some kind of example that involves someone that he knows rather than some "generic" god player that he could think he can somehow match "easily" with just lots of practice.Mucky wrote:Oh no, nonono.
Even in my prime I couldn't get past the D+ rank on PGTour. PGTour ranks go all the way up to A+, with a - and middle for each letter. And as you might guess, most sponsored players would not be playing on an unofficial ladder.

You aren't crazy, just stupid. Get a nice solid degree in something that has nothing to do with video games, trust me, you wont regret it.

I've got a friend who works as an English teacher in South Korea. If you get decent at Korean it'd be a great way to make a stack of cash if you can get whatever kind of work he's doing. Lately it seems he's been on a cycle of spending a year there making money then a year traveling around the rest of the world spending all his cash, with only a few weeks in between where he comes home.

Oh yeah. I imagine English teaching would score big in Korea.

My brother will be leaving to do the exact same thing soon, it'll be his first year doing it. Yea, he's a lucky bastard.Taeradun wrote: I've got a friend who works as an English teacher in South Korea. What does this have to do with Manditz wanting to go maybe go to Korea to play pro StarCraft.
Id love to see an American though beat a Korean player in a SC tournament, I always see who wins and like the first five are Koreans, if you do go Manditz we hope that'd be you!
I have a friend that is moving to Korea because his dad has a job that is transfering to Seoul, i think he does the same thing as your brother is doing, hes pretty lucky.
