So I spent a weekend or two on 30 Minutes Sisters Neverlia. It's pretty safe to say she is one of my favorite characters now.
A lot of this started out as removing text from the box art and extending her full body. This is the kind of stuff I was doing, and then using Photoshop and Paint.net (plus using Upscayl to help upscale the output images, although to be fair this thing isn't perfect and I need to fix THAT, too, but the truth is it's better to work with blown-up images to edit than the actual size you want to use) to clean up the image.

But of course, I didn't stop there. I also edited this one. This body is Hyper Plamo Fes version of Alpha Sisters Phantasm, where the original art featured Rishetta. But of course, the color scheme works better on Neverlia.

So I basically found a 'good' way to make some transparent background PNG files for 'art' projects. This one I re-created the box art (of a sort) for the Beyond the Blue Sky 2 set by 'borrowing' the Idolm@ster image of Chiyuki Kuwayama from the actual game that's on the game's wiki. So since it was the same art used on the box that was fairly simple to do.

But what I spent the most time on, and what I had to relearn a lot of things about Photoshop, was recreating the 'Gloomy Puppet Show' special move used by Lilith from Darkstalkers (in particular, Vampire Saviour; this move generally sucks because it uses two stocks, you have to hit your opponent with the hat, and THEN you have to play a rhythm game to do damage to your opponent. Generally too much trouble, but it is very theatrical)

This concludes yet another session of stupid AI art. Using AI as far as I'm concerned is only the start because it can't read your mind and give you exactly what you want.
