help--I cannot play the Duran campain

I tried to run it a few different ways, this is my first downloaded campain so maybe I don't know what I'm doing!
I have the latest version of BW 1151. I click on the Duran icon and Starcraft loads, but from there what do I do?
I tried to put your file in different places(maps or program files) but nothing works... Help me please

Put the Campaign EXE (Mod) in your StarCraft folder, and then put the maps in your campaign folder then click on the Duran EXE and click Single Player, click Play Custom and go to where you put your maps and play them.

Ya I havent even played the Duran campaign, I thought Mantis put all his maps in the actual mod like how the LoTC: Fallen Angel was done.

I was going to do that but then I realized how much extra work is involved in making that work and I didn't want to both with it. Also it limits the amount of maps I must use for the campaign.

I've tried downloading a couple of other mods from your site, and I keep getting the same error
the compressed file is invalid or corrupt,    what am I doing wrong?
I tried lotc and votf, I get the same error on both ..... very frustrating!!!!

glad you liked it.

Unfortunately some mods require older versions of sc, usually the site will recommend a patch (1.07 or 1.10 usually). If that isn't the problem, I would PM Lavarinth and ask him if the links are corrupt/broken or something.

Which program are you using to uncompress the files? Winzip, Winrar, Winace or some other program? Also which version of the program in question?

It would help to tell us which precise files from which mod you are having such problems with.

Personally I tend to use Winrar and I am using among the lastest versions of it. I did download a few lotc and votf files there and there, they seem to uncompress without errors to me.

EDIT :

It reminds me, if somehow you are using Windows' internal program to compress/uncompress zip files (which came with WinME but was pretty much removed for all other versions of Windows), don't use it since it's rather bugged and errors are pretty much inevitable with it.

thanks for the help, I cannot figure out what unzip program my puter uses, I have winxp
but I downloaded the light version of prelude to darkness  votf and it seemesd to have worked.
is there any must have mods that I should try?

Windows XP uses an integrated extractor that works just fine.

So am I to understand that you can unzip files properly, however when you try to unzip the zip file for the Duran campaign, it does not allow you?

I think something was corrupting the files while I was downloading, if I keep redownloading the file it eventually works
thanks for the help guys (my thread started with a ? about the Duran campaign, but then I had problems with extracting the Vision of the future
