Soon.
Playing with the input latency is going to be interesting, though.

You should've seen me trying to play via capture screen, when I first got the Hauppauge with no HDTV yet. Cancer ensued that night.
As for general input latency, I had to hunt for a very specific HDTV that was fighting game viable. This is what I ordered. If you don't actually need TV, better solutions exist in monitors. EVO (annual event centered on fighting games) use a certain ASUS monitor for its tournaments.

I don't use tvs or have money for them (for now). I generally play in a window on the computer using PtBi which is supposed to have better latency than virtualdub (which I used for most of my LP's up until recently). This also means recording is trivial. I think it will be an inescapable evil for quite some time.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
A new AWP is available.
I have done the offline recordings for Dragon's Crown and await a good time where all three of us are available.
I will likely do Symphony of the Night as my first major recording.
I am planning to turn Retribution into an Audiobook. A release could be within a month or so depending how certain things go (waiting for my mic stand).

By that, Mesk, he implied him playing as Tager while fighting my Hakumen on said capture screen. He often had to make big guesses on how ill act to hopefully win due to the important delay.Mucky wrote:You should've seen me trying to play via capture screen, when I first got the Hauppauge with no HDTV yet. However, since I played foolishly at times he still managed to win one or two matches nonetheless.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Mic stand is finally on the way.
As it turns out, no one was actually ready to do Dragon's Crown recordings yet. So, only now does the waiting for availability actually begin. Horray.
Work on the audiobook is coming along. Once the stand is here I will begin taking it more seriously and we'll see what we can do with it.
Cat problems have been taking my time off and on, so I've just been taking it easy and adapting to the new place. The recording quality here is definitely higher than the last place.
I have BlazBlue now. I don't know if I will actually record anything from it, though. Not unless something particularly amusing happens. I could possibly record an SP run once I figure it out, if the SP is interesting enough to LP.
I have a scheduled run for UT3 with another LP'er coming up that should be exceptionally amusing since I plan to have HKS drag us through the hardest difficulty (which has cheap as fuck bots). Whether or not I'll do anything else before then is unknown. I figure if I'm not confident I can put on a good show then I won't try yet. I'm not sure how many people have gotten through War in the North yet, anyways. My cast for Dragon's Crown offline felt weak when I was doing it. I'm probably still too tired.
Anyways, I am working on stuff, so we'll definitely see fruits of that labor eventually.

First tests with mic stand. There's no way I can use this thing for general casting. Too big. But for VA...

Finished watching war in the north. That final level was some Cthulhu shit right there... But I wanted to point out that the action in this game was really boring in comparison the movie tie in games released with Peter Jacksons films. Hell, I even considered whether or not if they had taken stuff from those games and put them into war in the north. And they are 10+ years old.
When a movie tie in has more effort put into it than a stand alone game, shits bad.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
We have an AWP recorded I will process sometime soon. Ret has taken priority, so I've been lazy. On that note, Ret is progressing quite well. It's time to make the final production pass of the script for external voice actors and see who I can get a hold of.
UT3 will be a Psychological Adventure compilation. DrSchwa will be making her own variant of it.

As it turns out, ArchAge was a lot more boring than I had hoped, so I'll compile some of the silly video I have into XXE instead.
Work on UT3 continues.
Work on Retribution continues.
Work on Dragon's Crown verification very slowly continues.
FedEx, fucking up my shipment of capacitors real good.
Monitor, taking progressively longer and longer to power up.
