They want to move back in, apparently. So they can just evict us because of that.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Honestly, that's fairly innocent compared to the kind of raw disrespect and bullshit various housing candidates have been pulling with us. I've come to the conclusion that everyone in Canada is a total asshole.

It's a perk of owning a rental property. I could give my renters the boot if I wanted to, but I don't have any reason to. From what Mesk said it sounds like his landlord sold his other house or lost it or some dumb shit, unfortunately thems the breaks.

We've had a few potential non-shit candidates turn up but they literally all got bought within the same day as them appearing, and no one has the courtesy to phone back or set appointments or anything, they just ignore you.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
Uploaded an AWP we recorded a while ago.
The housing situation is shaping into a very negative turnout. Grandmother et wall wants to move into a townhouse. That's Canadian for glorified apartment. It brings all of my audio work into an existential crisis. That's not to speak of the social anxiety and claustrophobia.
I've been looking into solutions for acoustic absorption but, given I cannot mount anything on walls or hang anything from anywhere, none of the options seem viable. I can acquire a reverb trap for the microphone that might eliminate volume a little bit, but given my casting nature, that's far from enough. Holding back is not something I do. Ever. And I'm not going to force myself to do it. It will sound retarded and is not something I can manage.
I don't understand how these neanderthals think moving into an apartment complex with 1/4 the storage space of this place that is nearly twice as expensive and has two sets of stairs (when she complains about ONE set) is a good idea. The utter moronic excuses for far superior housing solutions seem totally forgotten about. It's like they are defaulting to an hero. Nonetheless, arguing with people who believe in things like the bible and horoscope is pointless, and there is no convincing them that this is not going to work out like they hope it will.
And I have to pay for it all. Deposit, rent, everything.
Oh, how I wish I was mentally stable enough to jump off this ship move across country to live in Wibod's basement. Things would be so much easier if I was just capable of functioning like a normal person and didn't depend on bronze-age crazies.
ok. I'm done ranting. I have no idea if or when casting will continue. If this shitstorm is the path we're going into, I will have to set up some kind of recording environment - assuming it's even possible to do so given the restrictions - before I can make major casts again. That will be my #1 priority once I have some money to work with and there is some stability. If we started moving this month, I'd say next month I might have a solution. Even if I don't have a solution, I plan to record regardless. My voice will not be silenced, and people can post a RPS article if they have a problem with that.

Apartment sucks, but sometimes unexpectedly neighbors are quite tolerant to sound emanating from you (depends).
Plan something in the meantime, there are always opportunites on the HORIZON.
Good luck

Well, everyone in Wibod's basement turns insane sooner or later, so I don't see the problem with that.

He wouldn't actually be able to live in my basement, since I have someone renting it. I also wouldn't let him rent the sub basement, because that's where I keep the product.KnoutOut wrote:Well, everyone in Wibod's basement turns insane sooner or later, so I don't see the problem with that.

It's okay, I'll just take over the dungeon.
I'm good at managing lolis.

HAHAHAHAHAHA
"It has two flights of stairs" "no shit I told you that" "there are a lot of stairs" I showed you the photo and said it was 3 story"
"we'd have to buy storage" "I told you it was small"
These people.

I don't know much about Wibod but I don't think he'd share his lolis that easily.
It sucks that you don't have many options.

Re: LP Update/Comment Thread
You want to know the kind of stupidity that is going to get me on the street? This is the kind of stupidity.
There's a perfect fine house they didn't want to try to get because "the driveway is too steep". It takes a week and a half to convince them (only after the townhouse fell through) to get me a photo of that drive way to see how "bad" it really was so I could beat it through their thick heads that it wasn't going to be an issue.
Oh, what's that? The drive way isn't as bad as you thought?
Oh, you waited too long. Taken already. Good job!
Another house. "it's too big". Oh, you've gotta be kidding me.
This is so incredibly frustrating.

see if they still care about the driveway

Shit man...
(Also, God of War Ascension does not look nearly as good as God of War 3 if you ask me.)
