Hence the "most of them" instead of "all of them". Since it seems that you tend to rely on other people's opinions on games at least to some extent. So I speculated that might be the case with that hate toward super meat boy you've apparently been hearing.

I try not to take the opinions of clear hipsters into account, e.g. that guy who thought darksiders 2 was a good game was clearly a hipster (and I knew this before hand) so it's clear anything he was going to say meant nothing.

I'm willing to give most things the benefit of the doubt until I play them or see them played, but I don't know when that would be.

Our landlord has decided now is the perfect time to evict us. In 2 months we need to be gone.

At prime time in summer, in one of the shittiest places to get housing.

With no money, and no one capable of working on the house to fix it up or move anything.

We have encountered a problem with War in the North...

None of us can play the game any further than the current point because of the VPU crashes. I was void of them until this area of the game, but I couldn't remain safe forever. This one area literally crashes HKS every 5 feet forward, not to speak of the things that happen to wibod.

Gentlemen, I think we have bested Conan at long last.

I have added what source mkvs I had for XXE: The Revenge onto the FTP and listed them on the thread as an alternative to uub. Unfortunately, as I have lost almost all of the rest, I don't have the others. I don't plan to rip them from youtube and put them on there since it sort of defeats the purpose.

It is possible I will upload some of the pre-Revenge series XXE's there as well, but I only have like 1-2 of them. I think someone I know has a few others, but I don't think the quality of them is very high. So, we'll see once I can get a good audit on what I've got.

I am slowly chewing through War in the North recordings, but given that we're sort of in a desperate dash to find a place to live before we end up on the street and there is a lot of cleaning up/packing/sorting to do, I don't particularly have the energy to devote 100%.

In all likelihood, csotn will have to wait for when I have moved, provided we actually get a place. The stress is too much for general casting. I will focus my energy on verifying war in the north and should hopefully have it available in a week or two, but no promises.

However, I will most likely have an entirely new XXE in the near future.

I'd not say that Rondo of Blood is a ARPG, seems like a straight platformer.

Well, it's an ancestor to the modern ARPG. But yeah, in itself definitely a platformer.

I'll know about that place tomorrow I guess. Best case scenario I can be moving in a week from now or so and this unpleasant business can hopefully end quickly.

Well, I guess a general update is better than nothing.

There is literally zero word on housing now. Ads have gone out, have hunted craigslist etc and nothing suitable has shown up. There are no more word of mouth contacts we know. People are making plans to be sleeping in cars. It'll be a while before it comes to that, but it's coming nonetheless.

I plan to do csotn, undercover cops or Assault Horizon at my earliest convenience. It all depends on my psychological state. The anxiety is kind of insane so nothing is really happening at all right now.

The next ApexF release will be audio-only and will be about World Building and some of my approaches to it, and how I handled some previous concepts. I also have a league compilation which talks about a bunch of past games we played in a very quick analytical manner.

Good luck on search for housing - you could extend the radius that you're willing to relocate (to improve potential odds), but again, that doesn't really work if you are socially bound to the area you live in. Try to be creative and consider temporary arrangements even if they're shitty because bumhood is not a joke.

Grandmother et all doesn't want to move out of abbotsford so, yeah. That really inhibits options.

I'm socially bound to nothing, I'd have nothing against moving across country if I had any money/resources to do so. But it's not my decision and I can't live on my own anyway.

Headphones acquired. They are very, very different. More comfortable. Less base. More stereoscopic. Will take a lot of getting used to.

Will decide recording title soon.

We might have a place, but it's crazy expensive. $700 more than our current. I don't really want to do the whole moving every 1-2 months thing but that seems to be what I'm in for.
