I was asleep during the games so I watched the VOD's. It's funny how similar those games were to a lot of ours we played. At times it didn't even seem like the individual player skill was that much higher than what I was used to playing against. It was all communication and teamwork.

It's been acknowledged by Riot and they're cool with it, so technically it does have it. It just takes a lot of steps to get it working.

Actually I think they took steps to disable it because it was half-finished and had a chance to crash the game or something.

As to why it hasn't existed until now, I'll just assume laziness.

There was a reddit post about them confirming it's not a bannable offense and they had no interest in disabling OR endorsing it for the moment with a link to their forum, god knows I wont find it though.

This was soon after it was discovered, however, so that may have changed by now.
