Finished Dark Souls, finished watching your LP, all I have to say is my reaction was entirely similar to yours unpon "surprise credits", so half assed, no explanation, no closure, no nothing.

Also, new game+ doesn't indicate in any way that it is such (does it even tell you that ?).

All in all, I agree with your review.

You seem to put much emphasis on soundwork of games (as do I), and in that case, I have at least 2 FPS recommendations (both made by Looking Glass studios) -- Thief the dark project and System Shock 2. Played with hi res graphics mods they are bearable visually, but are hard to beat in terms of ambience. Especially Thief (1) on Hard, where killing someone makes you game over instantly.

In an unexpected twist, I seem to have discovered the original Hunted encodes on the external. There is a high probability this is the complete set of audio that I was missing. All that remains is to extract said audio, encode it, and then verify the LP, and it can be released.

Another AWP cast was recorded yesterday which will be coming out today.

I am progressing slowly but steadily on the Hunted verification. However, I haven't had the energy to cast the remainder of DMC1 yet, though I am most certainly nearly at the end of the game.

It has definitely surprised me. Some minor annoyances, but quite decent.

You mentioned in the middleware that you don´t like large Dev teams, Dragon Age Origins had over 100 if I remember and I hate that game. Most people I talked whit about it loved it but I just hate it, personally it´s mostly do to the story but and the world being boring to me but yeah...

Well, I'd point a finger to a certain phenomenon, with attributes like "known" "quantified" "targeted" "casual".

Most companies nowadays strive for <target groups>, as in marketing. They create a game with no creativity, with no deviation from a forced top-down plan.

In ye olden days game developer just did hard drugs and basically made their very politically incorrect vision of the world a reality.

This is what made certain games really great. No sugar coating or trying to conform to a genre, just raw power made bits.

Dragon Age won my award for "worst trailer ever made in the history of gaming" all the way up until the initial HoTS ingame trailer. From what I've heard, none of the games are any good, and they're all using ancient engine technology and look terrible. It's too bad, because when Dragon Age was first announced, I was really excited for it. Then who knows how many years passed and this ugly mess was revealed, and it's like hey, what happened amigo?

Bioware's last decent game was NWN and its expansions. I heard kotor is good - I'll get back to you on that one.
