OH SHI- UPDATE

Post by Ardis »

I think I just stumbled on the mod-ending update to StarCraft by Blizzard.

I just logged onto Battle.net to play a few quick online games and it updated on me. I panicked after the update was complete and checked to see if my mod would still work on the update and StarCraft crashes before it starts with the mod.

EDIT: Semi-false alarm. Only mods with FireGraft will panic shut down.

I'm not unstable.
Unstable implies that I could BECOME more dangerous than I am now.

That's normal for firegraft and kin as the directly edit the program code (machine instructions specifically) of SC while it's running and different version have a tenancy to place the code in different locations.

Penguin?

Okay... I over reacted because I ran the version that used FireGraft and almost thought that Blizzard finally released the ultimate mod-killer patch. I ran the non-FireGraft version after I posted to check and it still seemed to work.

Owned. But the patch was worth the fix.
