I didn't notice that one. I didn't bother on that game because it requires a purchase. Well, after doing some extra research, I think you're right. It is by far one of the best; always there on Top 10.

Ugh, so starting up Diablo 3 and I notice my character seems to be not longer there as I arrive to "my first new character" screen again.

*Sigh* Guess their servers are simply not reliable.

EDIT : Nevermind, seems my "D3 purchase" couldn't be "finalized" it seems.

I'm largely finding slows of any kind largely worthless. Everything you actually want slowed will just speed on through like it isn't there and 2 shot you. The overall speed of everything makes majority of wizard spells bad as the difficulty gets higher. Its incredibly stupid.

So much for the "variety of builds". Of course I wasn't expecting anything else prior. Blizzard is incapable of balancing skills to not always be trash.

Woot, 6 days and I'm already getting my account hacked for my gear.

Only my normal game guy though, certainly not my hardcore character.

Geez, did you change your passwords recently or something? I am also presuming you don't have a keylogger trojan or anything of that sort.

This is a completely fresh install of windows from a brand new hard drive. The likelihood of a keylogger seems low.

Several people have mentioned on facebook that they've had similar experiences, honestly I think blizzard has some sort of security hole on their end.

I've heard a lot of clashing information. Everything from session ID hijacking to SQL leaks to employees selling info... well, nothing substantial enough. But a lot of people are definitely getting hacked, and it's equally likely account information was compromised long before d3's actual release.

You can have blizzard perform a rollback.

I bought an authenticator (Apparently they are sold at cost w/ no shipping fee)

I have heard that there are thousands of people who just got hacked, its been on the news, Blizzard saying 'Don't worry guys this happens all the time' isn't very re-assuring.

Read some threads of people who claim to have been hacked, even with an authenticator, I feel like this has to be a problem on Blizzard's end

Blizzard rollbacks take at least 24 hours and I'd have ended up losing progress. I ended up just getting a friend to buy me 20k gold in items off the auction house to get me back on my feet, and easily went through 200k gold in the time that I would have otherwise been waiting...

As it is the hackers are pretty clearly only interested in normal AH items from the main character, gold itself, etc. They didn't even bother with the items on my followers, and left me every gem level below radiant because commodity sales are offline.

I did end up buying an authenticator, because why not?

Anyone who does not have an authenticator by now is just asking to be hacked.

Free on smartphones via apps.
Free via phone calls.
Affordable for original device.

But from what I'm hearing people with authenticators are being hacked too.

Blizzard claims those are hoaxes, but then again Blizzard also claimed that Diablo 2 was unhackable.

This is one of those "source?" posts, haha. The only way I've seen authenticators get hacked is if someone's logging into a fake Battle.net site and they have to "reenter" their authenticator code 2-3 times for any phisher to determine the pattern of codes (one time alone wont do it).

Finished the game on Normal.

It's funny, the boss fights are pretty reminiscent of some of the things I've done in my War3 campaign (Belial in particular reminded me of what I did for the last boss a bit). Sad thing, Belial was probably the best boss in the game; Diablo himself was pretty much what you would expect him to be if you played Diablo 2.

Since I was playing the Wizard my main strategy was to run around and snipe like a chicken; I don't know if that means I ended up avoiding a lot of the devastating mechanics or the majority of the bosses don't have that many attacks. After Belial, I was only impressed by the Butcher; Azmodan was a pushover for whatever reason.
