Tips and Reminders:
- You are required to update at least once a month. It is suggested you update more often or keep an ongoing discussion about your project.
- It is suggested you participate in chatter throughout the forum boards.
- Do not burn yourself out by working on a project for long hours.
- Visual updates are always more appealing than text, however text can directly convey your statements, so make it meaningful.
- Make sure to enjoy what you're working on, if it is troublesome and frustrating, alter it to be more entertaining to you.
- If you feel your thread is being derailed, contact me and I will delete any posts requested. Remember, this is your thread and your project.

I would create a wc3 Rexxar type of campaign. I think I have potential because I've quite a long history behind making wc3 maps and campaigns.

Unfortunately, of the eighteen contestants, only eleven remain eligible. Seven have not updated since December (or updated at all). Even if the contestants who updated in December are excused from the January updates, the number of eligible contestants is a mere thirteen. We've lost quite a few people already, and with February drawing to a close in five days, I don't see it ending too well for quite a few of the remaining ones.

Things like this don't really work well, I think. You are very loyal to this kind of thing, but some people are very casual when it comes to doing this stuff. It's sad but true. Contestants drop out all the time.

Still, it's going better than the SEN contest, isn't it. Wink wink.

Yeah, but the SEN contest was run by one guy with no experience. This is run by one guy with quite a few years of experience.

I wonder who'll be judging, other than Lavarinth.

I was just wondering how cutthroat Lavarinth intends to be on the whole updating thing. The contest instructions did say that we must update at least once a month... but didn't state what would be the penalty for disregarding that rule. Does it warrant disqualification or simply point deduction?

I wasn't intending to "run" the contest, I was stating facts and pondering over a few things. If that is against the rules, please cite them (or make some up that would prevent such an action) and I will gladly stop posting my thoughts about the contest.

You'd know if I was trying to run the contest, and I certainly wasn't with my two posts that basically consisted of, "Oh wow there aren't a lot of contestants!" and "Lavarinth is better than Dem0n at these things. I also wonder who will be judging, other than Lavarinth." Yeah, I even praised you in my second post. I don't know where you got the idea that anything in those posts meant I was trying to pull the chieftain's mat out from under you.

EDIT: I see now that perhaps I jumped to conclusions with the statements of contestant eligibility, but even so, that was only because I assumed (and rightfully so, in my opinion) that, due to lack of rule description, contestants would be disqualified without monthly updates.
