My suggestions are as follows:
Outlaw Star (Quite possibly one of the best anime series ever.)
Cowboy Bebop
Gunbuster
Robotech
Mobile Suit Gundam
Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team
Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
Gundam Wing
Dirty Pair (Trust me, the name is quite deceiving, it's funny as hell.)

As you can tell, I like futuristic anime series and giant robot animes as well.
I'm not unstable.
Unstable implies that I could BECOME more dangerous than I am now.

Full Metal Alchemist is crap! There was like only one good part in the entire show and that was the 2nd quarter of the series, starting from when Scar shows up to kill Dr. Marco to when a certain other character dies. After that it just tanks like hell, and if it wasn't for the fact that Kimbly is such a rat bastard there wouldn't be a reason to continue watching.

And Dirty Pair is F-in hilarious. THE OLD ONE, NOT DIRTY PAIR FLASH.

Oh yeah, Patlabor is good, too.

Of course if you're old-school like me you love Lupin the Third.

Lupin the Third was simply amazing.
Hello, mother leopard.
I have your cub.
You must protect her,
But that will be expensive...
10,000 kola nuts,
Wrapped in brown paper...
Midnight, behind the box
I'll be the hyena, you'll see.

Apparently there's another Gundam series coming out and it does seem interesting, so that may be worth checking out.

If you like Romances and or Dramas you should go watch the 2006 remake of Kanon.

Spirited Away (American title) was very successful with the general populace.  I don't watch a lot of anime but my dad and I both liked it.
I have seen the Desler.  I have tasted of his milk and honey.

Indeed, and so was Case Closed/Detective Conan. I forgot to mention that.

I myself find the relativly new Trinity Blood, definatly worth watching, even though the series is short.
You understand it more once you'v seen the whole thing and start from the begining again (like that blonde guy that you see in a flashback in episode #2).

Personally, I wished I watched Mobile Suit Gundam seed from the begining  rather than half-way through.

Of all Gundam, the only non-UC anime I actually liked was G Gundam, because it recognized its own silliness and kept going. I like the UC stories more (at least, up to Char's Counterattack).

G Gundam bugged me to no end, no particular reason though. Personally I never really liked the UC stories all that much, but really did like the Wing and SEED series just because of the way a lot of the MS designs were designed around certain things.

Guess I will try Claymore, been hearing good things about it.  I'm not much into anime movies.  For some reason, the few I watched weren't really that entertaining.  I like following long series much better, because a lot of the stuff out there sucks, at least to me, finding something good to watch is rewarding and I enjoy having new episodes of whatever every week.

I can't even remember the last anime I watched. The only anime I would say I like is Cowboy Bebop. All the episodes are tried and true basic stories IN SPACE. Of course great writing, pacing, and animation helps a lot. Which aside from the animation is more than I can say for any other anime I've seen recently.

Bleach: I watched it because my friends liked it. That was probably two years ago. I was only impressed from when they got into the soul society walls through when Ichigo fought Kenpachi. Before that the episodes were very stale. After that they decided to manage about 40 characters, NONE of which were important aside from Ichigo.

Yakitate Japan: A comedy anime. I'm not into them. My room mate really liked it, but I thought it was annoying.

Prince of Tennis: Didn't watch it. I know a lot of people that liked it. I never watched it though. From what I've heard it sounds like it sort of treads the line between serious and self parody. Sort of like Snakes on a Plane. I could be way off though.

Haven't read any manga. I stick to American comics books.
