StarEdit.Net campaign contest

Post by zany_001 »

http://www.staredit.net/topic/14194/0/

Looks like we'll have a few entrants and a few from here wouldn't be bad at all. Modding is allowed and encouraged, and IM GOING TO WIN BAHAHAHA.

No but seriously, comr join in the fun. 4 weeks or so to make a campaign set in the SC universe.

Come do this guys. I remember a bunch of you submitted awesome campaigns for that '09 contest, and I know that there are still a bunch of you that still make BW campaigns. *looks for Jim_Raynor* It'll be awesome!!

It does indeed look interesting. Not totally sure I can enter (with all my other projects), but I might join if I can find the time.

SEN and their minerals.. I guess I should make a fake currency over giving away physical prizes and start hosting contests again. I'll just hog all these BlizzCon items I have stored.

My reputation is as negative as it can get, I have nothing to lose!

Also, demon's contest only allows starcraft storylines and nothing new. XD

And the suggestions given in that thread somewhere are horrible.

Do we really need ANOTHER campaign about Jim Raynor or Zeratul?

Stukov, on the other hand, is interesting. He plays a role in what I'm working on - and I've also got a mini story completely about him. Soon...

Which only illustrates what I was saying, now AND then, many campaigns have gone down the beaten path already. We don't need more.

A challenge would to come up with a campaign that's completely stand alone.

I still want a campaign for starcraft though. There's so many things you can do with starcraft, from talking about raynor and shit to having a story about a remote colony on some fringe world.

lol

My campaign for this contest doesn't have any direct relation/cameos from the canon characters, but it is set in the StarCraft universe.

Well why the hell would I want to play some random campaign about some dude in like the year 5000 fighting giant robots or something? I hosted this contest because I like starcraft campaigns.

I don't know, because maybe someone might want to tell a story outside of starcraft? Dumb restriction, plain and simple.
