Don't be concerned!Pr0nogo wrote:I'm concerned about Vargas. How does one 'drop out' of the Ghost Academy, wherein everyone is implanted with resoc devises from day one?

As for female characters, I've been thinking about that, too, but until a female comes along and offers me her services I'll stick to guys.

Re: [campaign] Legacy of the Sentinel
Try Voice Actors Alliance. Magic directed me there, and although it took me quite a while to get a hit for the Fallen Hero in AO, I did eventually get one.
You should probably finish the campaign first, though. It's easier to find willing actors when the major work is already done and demonstrable.

I guess women are not into Starcraft? The ones I know are too busy clubbing.
I'm looking forward to this, Legion. Could you release a screenie or two?

Despite what it may have looked like, this project isn't dead. It's actually being worked on!
A lot has been changed, though. Visit the first post if you want to see a glimpse of it.

Re: Legacy of the Sentinel [Updated!]
UPDATE
Terrain

Wow! A completely revealed map!

This one needs some work... A LOT more work.
I love a beautiful piece of terrain in a Starcraft map. The first couple of missions of this campaign are set on an ice planet, so I'm currently trying out some different terrain compositions. The trick is to strike a perfect balance between actual terrain and those sweet little doodads. I don't know if I succeeded - let me know what you think. (Note: Unit placement comes next...)
Music
I'm making my own music for this campaign! I could tell you how much I wanted to set the mood, create an atmosphere, blah blah blah, but I'd then be lying. I wanted to create some nice sounding tunes, not too distracting and a bit generic to play in the background of my missions. While I do play an instrument in real life and I know exactly when and where I messed up with these electronically built tunes, I must say I like the sound of them and they're going to be in the mod whether you like it or not!

I like it. It's not too distracting, like you said, and it fits a Terran campaign.
So is this now going unvoiced? I haven't gotten the unit lines from you so I figured you just sort of dropped that whole shebang.

Re: Legacy of the Sentinel [Updated!]
To be honest I walked into the music expecting something terrible but it's actually quite good. I would say it's better than most of the fanmade music I've heard in gaming so far. I guess that's not saying much because I usually only hear stuff that's utterly, utterly atrocious.

Thanks! I like the atmosphere of Hot Sun, it's kind of oriental almost.

Re: Legacy of the Sentinel [Updated!]
Nothing against your map, Legion, but is it just me- or do all Ice terrain maps generally end up feeling like they have hard angles everywhere on cliffs and water levels?
