Radiant Historia

Post by Xenon »

Anyone play it? I'm only most of the way through Chapter 1, and I'm hooked.

But that's not the only reason I bring it up, I need an answer to something I can't find on the internet without wading through spoilers. For some reason, debuffs (such as speed break or guard down) never seem to work. Am I missing something, or did I get a bugged version?

(Also, am I the only one who sees it, or does Raynie look a little like Shizuka?)

I've heard of this game, but I don't know a thing about it.

As for your other comment, I assume you're talking about the girl with the spear.

Yeah.

It basically about two main timelines, and the ability to return to any point in the plot. I think it's an interesting way to deal with the usual problem of allowing the player to make plot-changing decisions (most of the wrong ones lead to an unfortunate outcome that forces you back, but may give more insight into the plot).

So basically if you make a game-ending decision the game doesn't even penalize you for doing so?

I'm asking because I can buy this on Amazon to get something else I wanted for Free Shipping.

Yeah, the premise is time travel (or a variant of mental time travel) so the main character just learns what went wrong and returns to a previous point.

Edit: Got a debuff to work, maybe they just have a really low chance of working.

I finally got around to playing this. Five hours in, and I'm starting to see how the time travel works (even though I shudder at the thought of 236 story nodes).
