Re: A StarCraft Movie?
The problem with StarCraft's mythology is it's designed to be played as a game, not a movie. Granted, for WarCraft, there is so much story and a world mythology that you could design a movie around it. Fantasy can get away with simple storyline conventions. I've found that stories like Star Trek and Battlestar Gallactica have raised the Sci-Fi bar where you have to have engaging characters and a serious plot to make the fictional world work. StarCraft has never had that storyline background. The movie would have to focus on Raynor and the Terran campaign. You'd have to develop a love story between Raynor and Kerrigan, followed by a a balance of battle scene sequences supplemented by drama and character development. The Zerg and Protoss storylines really do not fit this archetype.

Re: A StarCraft Movie?
the obsession that movies need a love story is one of the #1 reasons why western movies suck

Very true. This dude's one of the main ingredients for a cliche-ridden James Cameron product. Together, they are an unstoppable force of overhype and disappointment.Hunter_Killers wrote:They already have Metzen so what else could go wrong?
