Make a mod patch permanent
I'm wondering if theres a way to take a patch and make it a permanent mod to the game, so if i was to browse to my starcraft folder and then open up "starcraft.exe" the mods would still work.

If you don't have any button changes (grafting) then just make a backup of patch_rt.mpq and then add your modded files to it. Afaik you can't do what you want with button changes.

Re: Make a mod patch permanent
What if i used firegraft to change some buttons? Is there a way to make that permanent and not have to open it as a patch that subsequently open "starcraft.exe".

Is there any reason you are attempting to do this?chopstic wrote: What if i used firegraft to change some buttons? Is there a way to make that permanent and not have to open it as a patch that subsequently open "starcraft.exe".

For things like ChaosLauncher or the Resolution Expander which specifically target starcraft.exe
A bit more info can be found in this topic (which chopstic has actually replied to
