I decrepified Milldawg, so unless our remaining barbarian confirms that he was also decrepified...

I decrepified AiursRage2k.
Assuming we believe Thalraxal and Lavarinth, then AA7 and Aiurs are innocent, leaving only me and Krazy. Which means, from my standpoint, either it's Krazy, or we need to take another look at our 'confirmed' innocents.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - NIGHT Three
I see...
Well who you decrepified is irrelevant, right Milldawg? You were nullified by Krazy.
Yes, it now comes down to Krazy and Milldawg. I had a feeling all along one of our Necromancers was going to be possessed. The difference, however, is that no one was killed last night and it was Milldawg who was decrepified. Hmm...
Aiursage. We almost have this mystery complete! Since Milldawg claims he decrepified you, did you target anyone last night? Your bash is so important to know right now.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - NIGHT Three
Decrepify - During the night, you may target any player, not including yourself (since that wouldn't do anything). You may also choose not to target anyone. That player's night actions will be prevented, including the Kill action, and that player will be informed that they have been Decrepified by a Necromancer (but I will not reveal the identify of the Necromancer responsible). Decrepified actions will still show up as targets to the Amazon's Inner Sight. Other Necromancers are immune to Decrepify; thus, if Necromancer A Decrepifies Necromancer B, and Necromancer B Decrepifies Non-Necromancer C, then Non-Necromancer C's actions will still be prevented. However, a Possessed Necromancer using his Kill action can still be Decrepified by another Necromancer. If a Barbarian is Decrepified, the Bash will not be announced the following morning. Decrepify can be used to prevent an action by someone you suspect is Possessed, or if you are Possessed, it can be used to prevent the Heroes from identifying you or interfering with your nefarious plans.
Therefore, if I decrepified Milldawg, and he did decrpify AR2k, then Milldawg is innocent. The only thing decrepify on a necromancer will stop is killing, if they're a hellspawn.
Also note:
If I was possessed, I certainly would not be allied to SKs or Murdermaster. This means I would not have done the killing blow on day 1, since SKs confirmed I targeted Lavarinth. This means I certainly would not be working with Lavarinth either.
Since I decrepified AR2k day 2, and AR2k did confirm already he was decrepified, then I would HAVE to be working with him. However, if you scanned AR2k and confirmed he was clean, then I believe it stands to reason I would also be clean.
Worst case scenario right now would be Thalraxal/AR2k, because then AR2k would say that he was NOT decrepified so that blame would be placed on Milldawg. But I believe that combination would be impossible due to the events of day 1 (where Thral was decrep'd and AR2k bashed me). Since Thalraxal/AR2k I believe is impossible, I think Milldawg's innocence really does come down to AR2k's response.
*Krazy waits.

Well, that's easy, AA7, because I was waiting for someone to post so I could vote to lynch Milldawg.
My scan, thanks to his proper confession of his class, has allowed me to distinguish his guilt. He is possessed.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - DAY Three
I had figured as much a Murdermaster/Milldawg combo. The alarms went off after Saint Kerrigan was killed over us. You needed him dead to mask your targets as the Necromancer.
I vote to lynch the newbie murdering bastard Milldawg

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - DAY Three
Welp, I'm dead. GG.
Dread's not a newbie. At least, I didn't consider him a newbie when we killed him. He had played in two games at Chaos Sanctuary which makes him practically a veteran. If we had killed Aiurs, then maybe you could complain, but sheesh.
So it turns out this game was horribly in favor of the villagers once we mass claimed. Even if MMX and I had fabricated fake roles, it wouldn't have helped - Thal/Lav would have discovered we were lying when they investigated us anyway. The game needs a major overhaul to deal with issues like mass claims that totally neuter the mafia. I have a number of ideas in mind already, but I'm also open to suggestions.
Thoughts?

I win.
Roll revealing seems like an almost instant strategy for everyone, perhaps a possessed ability to shroud being possessed or better yet shroud the ability to be scanned on a target (not the ability TO scan) so one's identity can't be revealed would help even out the scores?

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - FINISHED
I agree that the mass-role reveal is too powerful of a strategy for the villagers. I still think that a clever mafia can work around it, but it'd be hard. I don't think it'd be as powerful when there's more players though. A three-man mafia team would be less vulnerable to it than the two-man team was.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - FINISHED
I think balance issues will be very difficult in this game.
Also, does the Sorceress really fit here? She's not just ridiculously strong for villagers after mass reveal, she becomes useless to hellspawn.
I guess the alternative is to rule against mass reveal? That would be very hard in a game like this since people will have to defend their roles when they're accused.
Another random idea: Maybe you could give the possessed the ability to create undead minions in the dead players. Then, if they did, the undead could do an extra kill in the night, and the players would have to divert some of their targets on to them.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - FINISHED
I'm definitely considering changing some of the roles around as well, although they might not be as powerful as they were in this game if I can create a major incentive against mass revealing. I'll probably also remove the role reveals on death, even though they weren't especially relevant this game, because it helps the villagers a lot more than the mafia.

Re: MAFIA: Sanctuary - FINISHED
Poor, Dread. His first Mafia game he was silenced for half of it and had to roleplay an old lady in a wheelchair. A veteran? Really?
That was still fun Milldawg (mAc, write his death. Gotta keep this legit).
The mass reveal definitely was not a good idea for the Mafia. Especially if everyone has a role, it's fun to guess who is who. A bit of the fun is taken out when everyone knows what powers everyone has.
Part of the problem is the two Possessed only had a Necromancer (powerful role) and a Barbarian (weak role). I was paranoid of the possibility of having a possessed Sorceress.

"Demon! Flay the skin from his bones!" Lavarinth howls in rage, his finger pointing towards Milldawg. Realizing he is cornered, Milldawg does not even struggle before AA7 leaps upon him like a rabid wolverine and bounds his wrists. They tie him to a pole, as the rest pile wood around his feet. AA7 takes up a scourge and begins flailing Milldawg. "This is for Dread!" Milldawg howls in agony as the barbed whip bites into his skin, tearing his flesh to red ribbons. By now enough wood has piled around Milldawg to make a small hill. Lavarinth lights a torch and throws it into the heap. The dry timber explodes in a blaze of heat and flame, sending plumes of black smog belching into the night sky. Everyone gazes eerily into the flames, mesmerized, as Milldawg thrashes wildly before being consumed by the flames. Soon all that is left is a burning, smoldering husk, still tethered to the soot covered pole. His mortal vessel destroyed, Diablo's spirit fades into the darkness, knowing it is only a matter of time until his return...AA7Dragoon wrote:That was still fun Milldawg (mAc, write his death.
