Hey everyone! With SC2 around the corner, I've decided to release the newest sequel to my third prize winning campaign, ACMD0. I proudly present: EMD!: EVERYTHING MUST DIE! (working title).

The Dominion has launched an all out attack against the remnants of the Confederacy on the planet of Sarin IV, but they have not been idle. Secretly, they have developed a new and powerful warship that stands ready the balance of power in the Korprulu sector once and for all!

CAST:
Confederacy of Sarin IV
Colonel Malcolm Dreys
Affiliation: Confederacy of Sarin IV
Unit: Ghost, Battlecrusier Geryon II

A former member of the now defunct Nova Squadron, Colonel Dreys is now the commander of the Confederacy of Sarin IV. As Major Dreys, he served under Colonel Devon during the Invasion of Tarsonis. He took command of the survivors in New Augusta following the death of Colonel Devon and he led them to Sarin IV.

Captain Charlie Vidar
Affiliation: Confederacy of Sarin IV
Unit: Ghost, Goliath

A former member of Nova Squadron, Captain Vidar used to work as Colonel Dreys’ partner while serving under the command of Colonel Devon.

Captain Casey Flynn
Affiliation: Confederacy of Sarin IV
Unit: SCV, Goliath

A former member of Nova Squadron, Captain Flynn once served as the Chief Engineer of Colonel Devon's Battlecrusier, the Geryon. Following their arrival on Sarin IV, then-Lt. Flynn oversaw the construction of the cities of New Tarsonis and Augusta-3. With the cities nearly complete, Flynn has begun working with Dr. Corval on various new weapons, including their new warship, the Geryon II.

Captain Clyde Kenton
Affiliation: Delta Squadron, Confederacy of Sarin IV
Unit: Marine, Siege Tank, Battlecruiser Indomitable

While then-Major Dreys provided the survivors of New Augusta with a destination, Captain Kenton provided them with the means to get there. While Dreys, Vidar and Flynn left Nova Squadron following the defection of Colonel Hauler to the Dominion, Kenton and his troops still see themselves as the Terran Confederacy’s Delta Squadron, no matter where their former superiours ended up. Kenton’s Delta Squadron now serves as the primary defence force for Sarin IV.

Doctor Corval
Affiliation: Epsilon Squadron, Confederacy of Sarin IV
Unit: Civillian, Science Vessel

Dr. Corval was the scientist who in charge of the Epsilion Squadron base on Sarin IV before the arrival of refugees from the destruction of Tarsonis. He has been working alongside Captain Flynn in developing the Confederacy of Sarin IV's new superweapon.

With the defeat of the Dominion and Zerg, the New Confederacy is the dominate power in the Sector, with Colonel Dreys as its leader. Captain Vidar is not happy with this turn of events. Which leads to his prompt exile to an out of the way Space Platform.

Sorry, guys, I know that everyone was looking forward to this, but I just suffered a terrible hardrive crash and every copy of the campaign has spontaneously combusted. And then my computer caught on fire. It's still smouldering, actually. I probably should wait until the smoke clears in here instead of typing this, I think the smoke's gone to my head 'cause I've got these little Zerg Defilers crawling all over my monitor. OH GOD THEY'RE CRAWLING OUT OF IT AND THEY'RE ALL OVER MY DESK! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

My hard drive died while I was working on a campaign for original SC back in 1998. I was 11 or 12 at the time and it was a 2 GB hard drive inside of a Dell, so it was probably a good thing that my work was lost.

My hardrive is actually fine. Thanks for your concern, though! EMD!1 and the events surrounding it was an April Fools Day joke. Although there is a small part of me very tempted to make it into a real campaign just for pure entertainment value...

Mission 1 is actually a finished and real map, but the rest were just staged. If I did finish the rest of the campaign there would be 7-8 missions and I'd have all the terrain done, since the entire campaign would be made with environmentally friendly recylced terrain!

I do, however, hope to release at least one more campaign for StarCraft before SC2 is released, be it ACMD! or something else.

The Defilers never left...

I've suffered a real campaign-killing hardrive crash before too. I was just getting into the climax of the campaign's story, had just finished off the first mission of the last part, when my hardrive decided to die on me. Luckily, I had made a recent backup of the campaign and had only lost that one mission, but it was pretty dang annoying, I liked that mission.

I did imagine something like that... With all those defilers swarming the screen... but the fact is that they are sooooo cutee... *cough* *cough*

If this was just an April Fools Day joke, good job! It's very carefully done. You'd have had to create the maps (or the map areas) necesary for it, as well as the modding of units.

Anyway, I wish you luck if you wish someday to make it into a real campaign.

I've also suffered a hard drive crash sometime during the development of my first campaign, though I managed to make a backup just before it happened and all of the archives were saved.

It was still annoying though. It is curious how, be it real or not, a hard drive crash is still annoying for everyone...

Just making sure.

Like I said, everything in this campaign was recycled.

The terrain was borrowed from a few different sources. Mission 1 (Sarin IV/Badlands) and 3 (Ashworld) from one unreleased campaign of mine. Mission 2 (Korhal/Desert) is Augustgrad from Brood War, Episode V (the battlecrusier version!). Mission 3 is the corridor from ACMD0 where you fight the Torrasque on the way to the bridge and Mission 4 (Space Platform) is a Blizzard Map of the Week, Exile Station. Oscar, the Terran Civillian standing beside Vidar is totally a canon character.
