Re: [New Campaign] StarCraft: Chronicles
Laptops with expandable video card slots! I swear video game companies and video card companies are sleeping together.
I used to build computers back in the late 90's for friends and family and was always picking up the latest new technology at my local Fry's Electronics. Eventually I just gave in and bought this HP Pavilion Laptop that had a big scratch on the case from Fry's. I think I paid a little over $500 bucks for it and it retailed for around $1200 bucks at the time. The sound isn't all that, but 99% of the time my computer is on mute anyways. It came with onboard video ATI radeon and 1GB of ram + 1.8GHz of cpu power (It plays a lot of games including SC2). I mean where the hell are we heading and WHY? This computer could have put men on the moon! If you're trying to keep up with technology just to play the latest video games at the ultimate settings, then you're falling right into the video game and video card manufacture's trap. Better is to stay a little behind in technology (same with phones, cars, TVs) and use the money you save to invest in your future. $1000 bucks invested might not sound like a lot, but trust me, 20 years of compounded interest, it will mean a lot.

You don't need the absolute best to get a computer that will run any game from now till 2015. You just need to spend the money intelligently, aka not on a laptop at all. Laptops are not for gaming, no matter what you throw on them. You'll always be paying more and always settling for less.

Legion, you are clearly missing the point. I am telling you straight up something bad ha happened to my computer. The fact that I am acknowledging is clearly unrelated, but that's because some people wanted an answer. I have no reason what-so-ever to lie nor make anything up and to try and "slip through the cracks" of getting through "all that hard work." If I didn't want to do the campaign, I wouldn't have even posted this topic. There is too much done to have stopped right here, right now.
BTW There are other things that I want to focus my time on, so I will admit that is a little factor to why I am debating whether or not to restart the campaign. Even then, I have to wait for the new hard drive to come in, so I can't even use my other laptop right now.

If you are going to reboot the campaign don't make it public unless you are totally lacking motivation. If you do make it public you will ruin yourself once again. Make it public when you have interesting things to show (please not screenshots of fights with 0 new graphics or anything, that's just not interesting.)
What?

Yeah, okay. It's all the same, though, really. In the end, I mean.Fighter84 wrote: Legion, you are clearly missing the point. I am telling you straight up something bad ha happened to my computer. I just felt I had to bash you for being yet another idiot that makes up silly stories about how their computer happened to die when they were getting along so nicely!
If I missed the point, fine. I've had my fun.
Legion out.

He was trying to have fun? Wow... Even then, I hope I made my point, so don't feel like I am another idiot trying to make up these "silly stories" I said what I needed to say.

Don't worry man, I'm behind you 100%. After tasting the ambrosia of your incredible attention to detail and dialogue I can't wait to see more.

Re: [New Campaign] StarCraft: Chronicles
Thanks man, new updates! I have finally decided to redo the campaign and I will begin production immediately as soon as my new hard drive comes in. I will reinstall everything and get it all working again in about a week or two.

So did Fighter84 delete his account or was he banned? He left rather abruptly if it was the former.
