Man, back in the old days we only had Pokémon Red and Blue, and 150 of the little critters.  How times have changed.

I played Red and was satisfied.  That was all I needed, not 200935034954095 of them. :P

I don't know about you guys, but it's hard to single out just a handful of games as the absolute most important ones when you have a whole slew of them that you like. Then again...

1) Commander Keen - One of the first few games that I ever played as a kid, though mostly the fourth episode. I could still remember playing it even though I couldn't remember the name of it until a year or so ago.
2) Starcraft - What wannabe gamer that grew up through the 90s hasn't played Starcraft? It's among the first few rts' that I ever played (C&C being another).
3) Numerous PS1 games - Oddworld: Abe's Exodus was the very first PS game that I ever played. Then there's Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, MediEvil, Soul Reaver, Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy IX; to name a handful that peeked my interest.
4) Donkey Kong 64 - It was awesome back then and it still is now.
5) Kingdom Hearts - Currently one of my personal favourites, mostly due to Square using both FF AND disney characters plus some of their own.

Leaf Green had only 150... and personally, I like the original 150 more than ALL the new ones.

No, I didn't. I just got to Cinnabar Island. Then somebody lost my game.

>.> Strange, not surprised, just unexpected that no one said WoW despite the game having turned heads at CC and SA when it first came out like no other. Though I guess I can say WoW was an important game to myself seeing as I've sunk over 100 hours in it (and was my only MMO to date >.>) I'm still curious why no one else thought the game was a big deal for them.

Or were you all like Mucky and basically pissed people off and just goofed off? Actually wait no that's what I did too, how the hell did I last that long on that game?

Starcraft will always be important to me though, even if it's only merit is introducing me to CC. Of course, that is not the case =P

There's probably more, but a lot of the stuff is covered by existing people.
