I heard a rumor that Blizzard was delaying the release of the beta until the Campaign Creations Campaign Contest was judged and all the beta key spots were finalized.  Is there any truth to this rumor?

Not sure if it's a form of sarcasm but anyway ...

To be honest, I didn't heard a single thing about it. Personally, I would find it odd that a company would delay a beta worldwide just for a single site's contest (even if we are on their list). Considering the delay, it's much more likely due to Blizzard willing to do even more changes to Starcraft 2 and taking their time as their reputation holds.

That's mostly with that mindset (that they won't wait for us) that I did try to avoid being late for judging the maps on my side. I did finish at least the campaigns but I still got a few scenarios to judge which I should manage to do it anytime soon since I finished most of my mid-term exams that spanned over the last weeks.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. That would certainly do, too. They should throw in a couple extra tauren units just for shiggles so people can have more to work with if they want to make a cow level race. But I'm sure the Galaxy Editor will provide more than enough tools to customize tauren sprites and make some crazy stuff.
